1000kg to 5000kg WLL | Self-Balancing Crane Forks for Pallet & Box Lifting | Auto Centre-of-Gravity Adjustment | CE Marked
The Camlok TKG VHS crane fork is the self-balancing variant of the TKG range โ an automatic balance mechanism finds the load's centre of gravity as soon as weight is applied, eliminating the manual adjustment step required on the VH (manual) variant. Available in four capacity ratings from 1000 kg up to 5000 kg WLL, the VHS is the faster, more operator-friendly option for sites handling varied loads where re-balancing for each lift would slow operations.
| Model | WLL |
|---|---|
| TKG 1.0 VHS | 1000 kg |
| TKG 2.0 VHS | 2000 kg |
| TKG 3.0 VHS | 3000 kg |
| TKG 5.0 VHS | 5000 kg |
CE Marked, UKCA Compliant & LOLER 1998 Ready
The Camlok TKG VHS crane fork is CE marked, UKCA compliant, and manufactured to relevant European lifting standards. Fully compatible with LOLER 1998 and PUWER 1998 when correctly used and inspected. Supplied with certification, identification, and operating instructions.
Pallet and crate handling by overhead crane in busy warehouses, ports, fabrication shops, and material handling operations where load weights vary lift-to-lift. Particularly suited to mixed-product warehouses, distribution centres, and any site where the time saved by automatic balancing outweighs the higher purchase cost relative to the manual VH variant.
A visual inspection is required before every use. A thorough examination by a qualified engineer is required at least every 6 months in regular use, in accordance with LOLER 1998. Records of examination must be kept. Refer to the manufacturer's manual for detailed inspection and maintenance instructions, derating factors for use, and replacement schedules for any wearing components.
Supplied with manufacturer's certification, identification, and operating instructions. WOLFF Onsite offers post-sales support including spares, certified inspection, and replacement. Contact our team for advice on selection, sizing, and application-specific configurations.
The VHS uses a rolling or sliding lifting eye carriage that automatically finds the equilibrium point as the load is applied. This means the lifting eye sits directly above the load's combined centre of gravity (fork + pallet + payload), so the load hangs level without operator adjustment. The mechanism resets between lifts.
Choose the VHS if you handle varied loads where lift weights and centres of gravity differ between lifts, or where cycle time is critical (busy warehouses, distribution centres). Choose the manual VH variant if you handle similar repeat loads where balance can be set once and retained, or if budget is a key consideration.
Yes โ the self-balancing mechanism accommodates off-centre loads by adjusting the lifting eye position to compensate. However, very heavily skewed loads should be repositioned on the pallet where possible for safer, more controlled lifts.
A visual inspection is required before every use, with particular attention to the self-balance mechanism and its rolling/sliding surfaces. A thorough examination by a qualified engineer is required at least every 6 months for crane forks in regular use, in accordance with LOLER 1998. Records of examination must be kept.
