Invicta Carriage Mounted Pole

Model ICP | Carriage Mounted | High Tensile Machined Pole | Up to 600kg Capacity | UK Manufactured

The Invicta Carriage Mounted Pole (Model ICP) is designed for lifting and repositioning coiled products such as fabric rolls, carpet rolls, paper rolls and membrane linings. Fitted directly onto the carriage of the forklift truck — replacing the standard forks — the ICP maintains the truck's optimum lifting capacity, unlike fork-mounted alternatives. The high tensile machined pole features a tapered tip to ease location into the core of the coiled product and a smooth surface finish to protect the load. Available in nine models across ITA/FEM Class 2A, 2B and 3A configurations with boom lengths from 1600mm to 3900mm. Manufactured in Leeds by Invicta Forks & Attachments.

UK Manufactured | LOLER Compliant

This product is designed and manufactured in the UK by Invicta Forks & Attachments, the UK's largest mechanical forklift attachment manufacturer, based in Leeds. Where applicable, this product is supplied with a test certificate and EC Declaration of Conformity. Key Features

  • High tensile machined pole — precision-machined from high tensile steel with a tapered tip for easy roll location
  • Smooth surface finish — protects the coiled product from scoring or marking during lifting
  • Carriage mounted — fits directly to the forklift carriage, maintaining optimum lift capacity
  • Quick release bottom hangers — supplied as standard for rapid attachment and removal
  • Wide model range — nine configurations to suit different carriage classes, boom lengths and capacities

Suitable Applications

The ICP is essential in carpet warehouses, paper mills, textile manufacturing, geomembrane suppliers, flooring distributors and any facility handling rolls of material. Typical applications include moving carpet rolls in retail warehouses, handling paper rolls in print works, positioning membrane rolls on construction sites and managing fabric rolls in textile mills.

How to Use the Carriage Mounted Pole

  1. Remove existing forks from the fork carriage.
  2. Remove the quick release bottom hangers by pulling out the safety 'R' clip and retracting the retaining pin.
  3. Position the forklift behind the Carpet Pole back plate and centralise the carriage.
  4. Drive towards the back plate with the mast tilted forward and hook the top carriage rail under the top hangers.
  5. Raise the carriage whilst tilting the mast back to vertical until the attachment is clear of the floor.
  6. Reposition the quick release bottom hangers and ensure the safety 'R' clip is correctly inserted.

Warning: Do not attempt to attach the pole to the carriage without first removing the quick release bottom hangers. Ensure the pole is fully inserted into the load before lifting. Do not tip load or shock load the attachment.

Safety Information

  • Ensure the operator is fully conversant with the attachment before use.
  • Ensure the pole is fully inserted into the load before lifting commences.
  • Do not tip load the attachment.
  • Do not shock load the attachment under any circumstances.
  • Do not exceed the safe working load.

Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect weekly with particular attention to all weld points, wear and distortion of quick release bottom hangers, and alignment of the pole. Certified for six months from manufacture.
