The EGV PSH II is the heavy-duty pedestrian stacker in the Pfaff range, built for indoor transport and stacking of palletised loads over longer distances and at higher utilisation than the PSL. Capacities run from 1,200 kg to 1,600 kg and fork heights to 5,115 mm, on a 3.2 kW hoist and 1.2 kW drive with impulse control.
All functions sit on a multifunctional control handle with proportional lift and lower for accurate load placement. Despite the capacity, overall width stays at 800 mm, and an ultra-slow drive function allows precise movement in very tight spaces. Travel speed is 6 km/h laden or unladen.
Key Features
- Capacities to 1,600 kg and lift to 5,115 mm — the heavy-duty option
- Multifunctional control handle — drive, lift and lower in one hand
- Proportional lift and lower — accurate positioning of the load
- 800 mm overall width — narrow-aisle capable at full capacity
- Ultra-slow drive function — exact driving in very tight spaces
- Free lift and driver's platform available — contact us to confirm
Where Is It Used?
Higher-throughput warehousing, distribution, manufacturing and trade counter operations where loads are heavier, travel distances longer and the truck is in use for much of the shift.
Pre-Use Checks
- Confirm the thorough examination is in date and the report is available.
- Check the battery charge level and that the charging lead is disconnected and stowed.
- Inspect forks for cracks, bending or wear.
- Test lift, lower, travel and the emergency isolator through full function with no load.
- Check the service brake and that the truck stops when the tiller is released.
- Inspect drive wheel, load and steering rollers for damage or embedded debris.
- Confirm the load is within rated capacity at 600 mm load centre.
Safety
- Rated capacity applies up to 2.5 m lift height. Above that, refer to the residual capacity chart in the operating manual.
- Capacity is quoted at a 600 mm load centre.
- Never allow anyone beneath raised forks or a raised load.
- Do not use the truck to lift or transport people.
- Travel with the forks lowered.
- Charge traction batteries in a designated, well-ventilated area.
- Thorough examination is required under LOLER 1998 at least every 12 months.

A stacker lifts as well as moves. Where loads only need moving at floor level, a hand pallet truck is lighter and cheaper.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is the battery and charger included?
No. The EGV PSH II range is supplied without battery or charger — both must be ordered separately. Please contact us and we will confirm the correct combination for your model and duty cycle.
Q: Which battery do I need?
The 12- and 16-series accept a 24 V 225 Ah or 300 Ah PzS traction battery. The 14-series is supplied with the 300 Ah battery only.
Q: What is the difference between the T and TF models?
TF is the free-lift version, raising the forks approximately 1,470 mm before the mast extends. The T models have no free lift.
Q: What options are available?
A driver's platform and free lift are offered as options by the manufacturer. Please contact us to confirm current availability before ordering.
Q: Does the operator need a forklift licence?
These are pedestrian-controlled powered trucks. Operators must be trained and competent, and employers should follow HSE guidance on lift truck operator training.
Q: Will it fit down a narrow aisle?
Overall width is 800 mm across the range, with a turning circle radius of 1,550–1,613 mm depending on model.
Q: Does it need a LOLER inspection?
Yes — thorough examination by a competent person at intervals not exceeding 12 months, and after any exceptional event.
