The Tigrip Shackle Adapter Kit attaches a high tensile shackle directly to a TZL or TZR load indicator, allowing the indicator to be rigged below a crane hook or master link in-line with the lift. Each kit is matched to the rated capacity of the load indicator it will be used with, covering 1 tonne up to 100 tonne — lower capacities use a high tensile Type Ba shackle, higher capacities a Type Bb. Manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Tigrip brand, each kit includes shackle, adapter and fasteners; the TZL or TZR load indicator itself is sold separately.

How to Fit the Shackle Adapter Kit

1. Confirm that the kit capacity matches the rated capacity of your TZL or TZR load indicator.
2. Inspect the shackle, adapter body, and fasteners visually for damage before fitting.
3. Fit the adapter body to the top connection point of the load indicator using the supplied fasteners.
4. Tighten the fasteners to the torque specified in the load indicator operating manual.
5. Fit the shackle pin through the adapter body, ensuring the shackle pin is fully tightened and secured.
6. Verify the assembly is rigid and free of play before applying load.
