Project Overview

Clear communication is vital on construction sites, where split-second decisions and coordination between operators, slingers, and lift supervisors ensure both safety and efficiency. To strengthen accountability and improve incident review processes, our client introduced the Voice Recording Solution (VRS), a compact system that records and securely stores all radio transmissions.

The goal was simple: to ensure that if an incident occurred, no critical communication would ever be lost.

The Challenge

Previously, the client relied on a handheld radio that required manual SD-card management. Once the storage filled up, recording stopped, leaving potential gaps in incident evidence and causing unnecessary administration.

The team needed a solution that was reliable, easy to set up, and simple to access when needed.

The Solution

The Voice Recording Solution (VRS) provided a practical, scalable answer. With no external software required, the system can be configured and recording within minutes. All radio communications are captured, securely stored in encrypted format, and can be accessed via a password-protected browser interface. Recordings are indexed by time, channel, and radio ID, allowing users to quickly recreate the full conversation chain — invaluable during incident investigation or audit.

The VRS also offers real-time remote listening, and recordings can be easily exported to be sent for review.

The Results

"The previous system wasn’t practical and needed constant monitoring because the SD card would fill up and stop recording. The new VRS system took five minutes to set up — it’s very simple and reliable. The audio quality is fantastic when played back."

Although the system isn’t used daily, it provides essential peace of mind. If an incident occurs, the team can quickly review communications to establish a clear timeline of events and determine accountability.

Delivery Information

From our depot to your site, every order is fully tracked and delivered on our own WOLFF Onsite vehicles or via trusted courier partners. Delivery costs are calculated based on your postcode and order size.

Pallet Delivery
Dispatched within 1–2 working days, delivered next working day between 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday. Delivery cost is based on the number of pallet spaces and your delivery zone.

Parcel Delivery
Smaller items like radio accessories and safety equipment ship via tracked courier at a flat rate. Deliveries between 8:30am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

RENTAL Delivery / Collection
All rentals are delivered and collected by the WOLFF Onsite team. We'll confirm a delivery time that works for you and arrange collection within 3 working days of your hire end date. Deliveries and collections between 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, Saturday collections can be arranged if suitable.

Dispatch Times
Orders placed by 1pm are dispatched same day where possible. Some products carry a manufacturing lead time, this is always stated in the product description.
