The Camlok TSA is a specialist 500 kg WLL grab for timber spars, structural timber and similar elongated rectangular sections. It is engineered for use in roof construction, timber frame work, and any application requiring secure handling of long timber or beam sections.

Suitable Applications

Roof truss handling, timber frame construction, structural timber lifting, glue-laminated beam handling, and any operation requiring secure crane lifting of elongated timber or beam sections.

A grab grips by friction, so surface condition matters and a lift over people needs a positively secured attachment instead. Where the load can be slung, slings and shackles are simpler.

Inspection and Maintenance

A visual inspection is required before every use. A thorough examination by a qualified engineer is required at least every 6 months in regular use, in accordance with LOLER 1998. Records of examination must be kept. Refer to the manufacturer's manual for detailed inspection and maintenance instructions, derating factors for use, and replacement schedules for any wearing components.
