Model TKL | Compact Digital Weigher | Direct Readout | 1t to 3.2t Capacity | From 3kg Net Weight | CMCO Group Manufacture
The Yale TKL Compact Crane Weigher is a lightweight digital crane scale for everyday in-line weighing on cranes, lifting beams and overhead hoists, in 1 tonne, 2 tonne and 3.2 tonne capacities. From just 3 kg net weight it is the lightest weigher in the Yale range, with a compact body that minimises headroom loss and an integral digital display reading directly in kilograms. Manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Yale brand, supplied with test certificate and manual, for use with grade 8 forged shackles or hooks.
| Model | Part Number | Capacity | Resolution | Net Weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TKL 1,0 | N53908446 | 1000 kg | 0.5 kg | 3 kg |
| TKL 2,0 | N53908448 | 2000 kg | 1 kg | 3.5 kg |
| TKL 3,2 | N53908451 | 3200 kg | 1 kg | 6 kg |
TKL models feature a high-contrast digital display with direct on-unit readout. For remote-controlled weighing in the same compact form factor, see the Yale TKR or the Yale TKE and TKI ranges.
This product is manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Yale lifting brand to EN ISO 9001 quality management standards. Supplied with a manufacturer's test certificate and CE Declaration of Conformity. UKAS-traceable calibration certification is available on request at the time of order. LOLER 1998 thorough examinations are required every 12 months by a competent person, and annual recalibration is recommended to maintain stated weighing accuracy.
The Yale TKL Compact Crane Weigher is a lightweight digital crane scale built for everyday in-line weighing on cranes, lifting beams, and overhead hoists at capacities up to 3.2 tonne. The compact body keeps headroom loss minimal during lifts, and the integral digital display gives a direct readout in kilograms without the need for a remote control. From just 3 kg net weight, the TKL is the lightest weigher in the Yale range, making it ideal for sites where the weigher itself contributes to the lift residual capacity. Three capacity options cover 1 tonne, 2 tonne, and 3.2 tonne lifting applications. Manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Yale lifting brand, the TKL is supplied complete with a manufacturer's test certificate and operating manual. Use with grade 8 forged shackles or hooks as the lifting attachment.
The TKL is suited to everyday construction site weighing, plant and equipment verification, scrap weighing, in-house manufacturing lifts up to 3.2 tonne, and as an entry-level weigher for sites that do not require remote control operation. Particularly well-suited to low-headroom lifts where a heavier weigher would consume too much of the available residual capacity.
Warning:
Do not exceed the rated capacity of the weigher or its attachments. Do not shock-load the unit. Do not use the weigher if the display shows an error code or if the housing shows signs of damage. The crane operator must remain in full control of the lift at all times โ the weigher does not replace standard rigging and lifting procedures.
Inspect the weigher visually before each use, paying particular attention to the housing, shackles, shackle pins, and the display for damage or moisture ingress. Keep the unit clean and dry between uses. The TKL is supplied with a manufacturer's test certificate; LOLER 1998 thorough examinations are required every 12 months by a competent person, and recalibration is recommended annually to maintain stated weighing accuracy. UKAS-traceable calibration can be carried out by Columbus McKinnon or any approved weighing equipment calibration laboratory.
No. The TKL is operated directly at the display. For remote-controlled weighing in the same capacity range, see the Yale TKR series; for compact infrared or radio remote weighers, see the Yale TKE and TKI.
Yes. The TKL is built for daily site use including outdoor environments. Avoid prolonged exposure to standing water or continuous heavy rain.
The TKL is supplied without attachments. Grade 8 forged shackles or hooks should be specified separately based on your sling and lifting setup.
The TKL is intended as a working crane weigher rather than a precision laboratory instrument. The resolution is 0.5 kg on the 1 tonne model and 1 kg on the 2 tonne and 3.2 tonne models, sufficient for general construction and material handling weighing.
A manufacturer's test certificate is supplied as standard. UKAS-traceable calibration certification is available on request at the time of order.
Annual recalibration is recommended. LOLER 1998 also requires a thorough examination by a competent person at least every 12 months.
The TKL uses a standard replaceable battery. Battery life depends on usage but typically supports several full working days of continuous use; consult the operating manual for the specific battery specification and replacement procedure.
