Model YaleERGO 360 UT | Capacity 1,500 kg to 9,000 kg | Automatic Overspeed Safety Gear | EN 1808 Compliant | For Overhead Line & Aerial Construction
The YaleERGO 360 UT extends the patented YaleERGO 360 design with an automatically acting safety gear that monitors load speed continuously and engages the moment overspeed is detected โ preventing sudden drops without the operator needing to take any action. Engineered specifically for overhead line construction, cable car construction and aerial work, the UT carries an EN 1808 compliant safety device (patent pending) developed in cooperation with the German employers' liability insurance associations BGHM and BG ETEM. The safety gear remains effective even in the event of rusted ratchet pawls, broken springs or other component failures.
The YaleERGO 360 UT meets the safety requirements of EN 1808 (Safety requirements for suspended access equipment, section 8.9.2). The automatically acting safety gear is developed in cooperation with BGHM (Berufsgenossenschaft Holz und Metall) and BG ETEM. Per BG ETEM statement: "The integrated safety gear makes organizational measures such as the parallel use of several devices, the additional insertion of slings or the use and repositioning of an additional chain stopper obsolete. In accordance with the S-T-O-P principle, the additional safety gear represents a technical solution that is superior to the organizational solutions used to date." This product is CE marked and UKCA marked. LOLER 1998 thorough examinations are required every 12 months by a competent person.

All variants supplied with 1.5 m standard chain length. Safety gear engages at speeds above 0.5 m/s. Stopping distance does not exceed 500 mm per EN 1808 requirements.
The YaleERGO 360 UT is engineered specifically for applications where personnel work below the load and a sudden drop would have serious consequences. Primary applications include overhead line construction (rail, tram, trolley), cable car construction, aerial construction and maintenance, suspended access equipment (EN 1808), and construction of contact lines.
