The Invicta Fork Mounted Skip Compactor (Model ISC) achieves optimum yard skip capacity — most skips are taken away 30–45 percent full of fresh air, and the Compactor, filled with ballast (a mixture of 10mm pebbles and crushed sandstone), significantly reduces that air gap, cutting the number of collections required and the money spent on them. Height adjustable to suit skips up to 8 feet deep, available in 1000kg and 2000kg versions; manufactured in Leeds by Invicta Forks & Attachments.

More About This Product
The Invicta Fork Mounted Skip Compactor (Model ISC) is designed to achieve optimum yard skip capacity. Waste is usually deposited into yard skips and taken away once full — however, in most cases the skip is 30–45 percent full of fresh air. The Skip Compactor, filled with ballast (a mixture of 10mm pebbles and crushed sandstone), significantly reduces this air gap and subsequently reduces the number of collections required and the money spent doing so. Height adjustable to suit skips up to 8 feet deep. Available in 1000kg and 2000kg versions. Manufactured in Leeds by Invicta Forks & Attachments.
Suitable Applications
The ISC is ideal for any site or facility with regular skip waste collections. By compacting the waste, you can significantly reduce the number of skip collections required — saving money on waste management costs. Common users include construction sites, factories, warehouses, retail parks and demolition sites.
How to Use the Fork Mounted Skip Compactor
- Position forks and remove heel pins.
- Drive forks into pockets and insert heel pins.
- Adjust the compactor height using the Height Adjustment Pin to suit the skip depth.
- Position the compactor directly above the skip.
- Lower the compactor slowly into the skip to compress the waste.
- Raise clear and repeat as needed.
Warning:
Always travel with the compactor in its reduced position. Do not travel over rough terrain or corner excessively. Never exert lateral forces against the compactor body.
Safety Information
- Ensure heel pins are correctly fitted.
- Ensure the Height Adjustment Pin is retained with the lynch pin.
- Travel with the compactor in reduced position.
- Do not shock load.
Inspection and Maintenance
Inspect weekly — focus on weld points, fork pockets, adjustment pin and heel pins.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much can the skip compactor save?
Most skips are 30–45% full of air. Regular compaction can reduce the number of skip collections by a similar percentage, directly reducing your waste management costs.
