Model 1025H | Geared Gate Mechanism | CE Marked | UKCA Compliant
The Eichinger 1025H Geared Coneflow Concrete Skip is a heavy-duty, horizontal round concrete skip designed for fast, controlled pouring of concrete in large volumes. Built in Germany by Florian Eichinger GmbH, the 1025H features a geared gate mechanism (hand wheel) that gives the operator precise control over discharge rate โ turn the wheel to open, reverse to close. The horizontal round shape with lateral outlet and rugged lift beam make this one of the most popular and trusted concrete skips on the market. Available in 500, 750 and 1,000 litre capacities.
This product carries CE marking in accordance with EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and a UKCA certificate is also provided where required for the UK market. The skip is designed and manufactured to the occupational health and safety standards of the German Berufsgenossenschaften (BG โ Employers' Liability Insurance Associations). An EC Declaration of Conformity is supplied with every unit as standard.

The 1025H geared coneflow skip is designed for crane-assisted concrete pouring on construction sites. Its geared gate mechanism makes it particularly well suited to applications where controlled, high-volume discharge is required. Typical uses include pouring concrete into slab foundations, strip footings, pile caps, retaining walls, lift shafts, stairwells, and large formwork sections. The lateral outlet allows concrete to be directed precisely into the target area. The skip can also be used as a roll-over skip where site conditions require it.
The 1025H is available in three capacities. The 500 litre model (1025H.8) is the lightest option at 260 kg, making it suitable for smaller cranes and confined sites. The 750 litre model (1025H.10) offers a good balance between capacity and weight for mid-range pours. The 1,000 litre model (1025H.12) is the largest in this range, with a 2,400 kg SWL, and is supplied with a traverse crossbeam for balanced lifting โ ideal for high-volume groundworks and large slab pours. All three models share the same 1,150 mm width, so crane clearance requirements are consistent across the range.
The Eichinger 1025H is CE marked in accordance with EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and meets the requirements for UKCA compliance in the Great Britain market. The skip is designed and manufactured to the occupational health and safety standards of the German Berufsgenossenschaften (BG). Following Brexit, the UK government has confirmed indefinite recognition of CE marking for lifting equipment in Great Britain, meaning businesses can use either UKCA or CE marked equipment provided it is accompanied by a Declaration of Conformity (DoC). An EC Declaration of Conformity is supplied with every unit. Under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER), concrete skips must be thoroughly examined by a competent person at intervals not exceeding 12 months, or in accordance with an examination scheme.
Under LOLER 1998, concrete skips must be thoroughly examined by a competent person at intervals not exceeding 12 months. Pre-use visual inspections should be carried out before every shift. Check for signs of structural damage, cracks, or excessive wear. Inspect the geared gate mechanism for smooth operation โ the hand wheel should turn freely without resistance or grinding. Verify the locking chain is intact and the bale arm pivot points are not worn. Clean the skip thoroughly after every use, paying particular attention to the gate area where concrete residue can build up and impair the seal. Report any defects immediately and remove the skip from service until repaired.
The 1025H is a horizontal round concrete skip with a geared (hand wheel) gate mechanism for controlled lateral discharge of concrete. It is manufactured by Florian Eichinger GmbH in Germany and is one of the most widely used concrete skips in the UK construction and hire industries. Available in 500, 750 and 1,000 litre capacities.
Geared refers to the hand wheel discharge mechanism. Instead of a simple lever, the operator turns a wheel connected to a geared mechanism that opens and closes the discharge gate. This provides much finer control over the flow rate, making it ideal for large pours where you need to meter the concrete accurately.
A coneflow skip (like the 1025H) has a single lateral outlet โ concrete is poured from one side. A twinflow skip has a moveable chute that can direct concrete either straight down or to the side, making it more versatile but also heavier and more expensive. The coneflow is the preferred choice when you need fast, high-volume pouring from a single direction.
You need to account for both the skip weight and the concrete load. The 1,000 litre model weighs 460 kg empty with a SWL of 2,400 kg, giving a maximum total suspended load of approximately 2,860 kg. Always check your crane's load chart at the required radius before lifting. The 500 litre model has a maximum total load of approximately 1,460 kg, making it suitable for smaller mobile cranes.
Under LOLER 1998, a thorough examination by a competent person is required at intervals not exceeding 12 months, or in accordance with a written scheme of examination. Pre-use visual checks should be carried out before every shift to identify any obvious damage, wear, or defects.
The 1025H is designed for crane use, lifted via the bale arm. It is not a fork-mounted skip and does not have stacker shoes or fork pockets. If you need a concrete skip for telehandler or forklift use, please contact us and we can advise on the correct product for your application.
The 500 litre model (1025H.8) has a SWL of 1,200 kg. The 750 litre model (1025H.10) has a SWL of 1,800 kg. The 1,000 litre model (1025H.12) has a SWL of 2,400 kg.
After every pour, clean the gate area thoroughly โ both inside and out. Remove all residual concrete and grout from around the discharge opening, the gate seal, and the hand wheel mechanism. Concrete left to harden in the gate area will impair the seal and eventually seize the mechanism. Use a pressure washer where available, and apply a light lubricant to moving parts to maintain smooth operation.
The 1025H is manufactured by Florian Eichinger GmbH, based in Mรผhlhausen, Bavaria, Germany. Eichinger has been producing construction lifting equipment since 1904 and is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of crane and forklift attachments.
