Invicta Fork Mounted Hydraulic Sweeper / Collector

Model IHSC | Fork Mounted | Hydraulic Drive | Water Suppression | 1500โ€“2440mm Sweep Width | UK Manufactured

The Invicta Hydraulic Tele-Sweeper (Model IHSC) is a cost-effective addition to the versatility of your telehandler or forklift. Simply drive your forks into the floating fork pockets and connect to the forklift hydraulics to sweep the most arduous environments in a fraction of the time of conventional methods. The large debris container is opened hydraulically from within the safety of the cab. A 250-litre gravity water suppression system controls dust during operation. Manufactured in Leeds by Invicta Forks & Attachments.

UK Manufactured | LOLER Compliant

This product is designed and manufactured in the UK by Invicta Forks & Attachments, the UK's largest mechanical forklift attachment manufacturer, based in Leeds. Where applicable, this product is supplied with a test certificate and EC Declaration of Conformity. LOLER 1998 thorough examinations are required every 6 months by a competent person after initial certification.

Key Features

  • Hydraulic drive with hoses supplied โ€” connects directly to your forklift hydraulics for immediate operation
  • 250-litre gravity water suppression system โ€” controls dust during sweeping for cleaner, safer operation
  • Fully enclosed collection hopper โ€” hydraulically opened from the cab for safe and efficient emptying
  • Fully floating body โ€” optimum sweeping performance on uneven surfaces
  • Heavy-duty impact resistant wheels โ€” built for demanding construction and industrial environments
  • Heavy-duty poly ultra-brush 560mm diameter โ€” long-lasting sweeping performance
  • Fork pockets with heel pins โ€” secure mounting for safe operation

Suitable Applications

Ideal for construction sites, industrial yards, warehousing facilities and distribution centres requiring regular sweeping of large areas. Commonly used for clearing debris, dust, aggregate spillage and general yard maintenance.

How to Use the Hydraulic Sweeper

  1. Position forks and remove heel pins.
  2. Drive forks fully into the floating fork pockets and insert heel pins.
  3. Connect hydraulic hoses to the forklift auxiliary hydraulics.
  4. Fill the 250-litre water tank if dust suppression is required.
  5. Lower the sweeper to the ground and engage hydraulic drive to begin sweeping.
  6. When the hopper is full, drive to the disposal area and operate the hydraulic hopper release from the cab.

Warning: Ensure hydraulic flow does not exceed 60 LPM @ 200 BAR. Do not operate without heel pins fitted. Disconnect hydraulics before maintenance.

Safety Information

  • Ensure heel pins are correctly fitted before operation.
  • Do not exceed the maximum hydraulic flow rate of 60 LPM @ 200 BAR.
  • Keep bystanders clear of the sweeping area during operation.
  • Disconnect hydraulic hoses before any maintenance or cleaning.
  • Empty the hopper only in designated disposal areas.

Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect regularly with particular attention to all weld points, lifting eyes, pivot points, brush wear and any signs of deformation or corrosion. Certified for six months from manufacture โ€” thorough examination under LOLER 1998 required every 6 months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What hydraulic flow rate does the IHSC need?

The sweeper requires 40โ€“60 litres per minute at 200 BAR. Most modern telehandlers and forklifts with auxiliary hydraulics can supply this โ€” check your machine's spec before ordering. Exceeding 60 LPM can damage the hydraulic motor.

Q: Do I need to stop sweeping to empty the hopper?

You'll need to drive to your disposal area, but you don't need to leave the cab. The hopper is opened hydraulically from inside the cab, tipping the collected debris out safely and efficiently.

Q: Which model should I choose?

Match the sweeping width to your site size and access. The IHSC-2 (1500mm) suits tighter yards and smaller machines; the IHSC-4 (2440mm) covers large open sites faster but needs a bigger host machine to handle the 900kg weight. Check your forklift's load capacity at the relevant load centre before ordering.
