Crane liftable via overhead lifting point.

Key Features

  • Robust 3mm angle steel construction — heavy-duty framework built to withstand the demands of active construction sites
  • 50mm mesh sides — prevents material spillage whilst allowing visual inspection of contents during lifting
  • Fully welded framework — all joints fully welded for maximum strength and durability
  • Crane liftable — designed for use with overhead cranes via the integrated lifting point
  • High-visibility finish — painted bright orange for on-site safety compliance

Suitable Applications

The IBB-1 is designed for construction sites where building materials need to be lifted to upper floors or elevated working areas. Common uses include hoisting loose bricks, blocks, fixings, hand tools, mortar tubs and other small building supplies using a tower crane or mobile crane. The compact size makes it ideal for passing through standard scaffolding openings.

How to Use the Materials / Brick Lifting Cage

  1. Place the lifting cage on a stable, level surface.
  2. Load materials into the cage, ensuring the 250kg safe working load is not exceeded.
  3. Ensure materials are evenly distributed within the cage.
  4. Attach the crane hook to the overhead lifting point.
  5. Signal the crane operator to lift when the exclusion zone is clear.

Warning: Do not exceed the 250kg safe working load. Ensure all personnel are clear of the lifting zone before hoisting. Do not stand beneath a suspended load.

Safety Information

  • Do not exceed the 250kg safe working load.
  • Ensure materials are evenly distributed and do not protrude above the cage sides.
  • All personnel must be clear of the lifting zone before hoisting commences.
  • Never stand beneath a suspended load.
  • Inspect the lifting point and cage condition before each use.

Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect regularly with particular attention to all weld points, the overhead lifting point, mesh panel integrity and any signs of deformation or corrosion. Certified for six months from manufacture — thorough examination under LOLER 1998 required every 6 months.
