Eichinger Telehandler Fork Extensions

Model 2111.4 / 2111.5 | Telehandler-Profile Pocket | ISO 13284 Compliant | Heel Pin Secured | CE Marked | UKCA Compliant

The Eichinger Telehandler Fork Extensions (Model 2111.4 / 2111.5) are heavy-duty extensions designed specifically for the wider-profile tines found on telehandlers and telescopic handlers, built in Germany by Florian Eichinger GmbH. Each extension slides over the existing tine and is secured by a heel pin locking behind the fork heel, preventing forward movement in use; manufactured to ISO 13284, the British Standard for Fork Extensions. Available in two lengths to suit different reach requirements โ€” see also our standard Forklift Fork Extensions (Model 2111.2 / 2111.3).

Key Features

  • Telehandler-profile pocket โ€” designed specifically for the wider and thicker fork tines found on telehandlers, providing a secure fit on machines such as JCB, Manitou, Merlo and similar
  • ISO 13284 compliant โ€” manufactured to the British Standard for Fork Extensions, ensuring correct material grade, wall thickness and structural integrity
  • Heel pin retention โ€” each extension is secured by a heel pin that locks behind the heel of the fork tine, preventing the extension from sliding forward during lifting operations
  • Two length options โ€” available in two sizes to suit different load and reach requirements
  • Sold in pairs โ€” supplied as a matched pair to ensure consistent load distribution across both forks
  • German engineered and manufactured โ€” built by Florian Eichinger GmbH under DIN ISO 9001:2015 quality management

Technical Specifications

Model Pocket Profile Compliance
2111.4 Telehandler profile ISO 13284
2111.5 Telehandler profile ISO 13284

The load rating is quoted as a uniformly distributed load (UDL) per pair of extensions. Always use fork extensions in conjunction with the telehandler manufacturer's data and load plates. The original fork tine must support at least 60% of the extension length.

CE Marked, UKCA Compliant & ISO 13284 Certified

This product carries CE marking in accordance with EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and a UKCA certificate is also provided where required for the UK market. The fork extensions conform to ISO 13284, the British Standard for Fork Extensions. Manufactured under DIN ISO 9001:2015 quality management. An EC Declaration of Conformity is supplied with every unit as standard.

More About This Product

The made in Germany Eichinger Telehandler Fork Extensions (Model 2111.4 / 2111.5) are heavy-duty fork extensions designed specifically for the wider-profile tines found on telehandlers and telescopic handlers. Each extension slides over the existing telehandler fork tine and is secured by a heel pin that locks behind the fork heel, preventing forward movement during use. Manufactured to ISO 13284, the British Standard for Fork Extensions. Available in two lengths to suit different reach requirements. Also see our standard Forklift Fork Extensions (Model 2111.2 / 2111.3) for standard-profile forklift tines. Built in Germany by Florian Eichinger GmbH.

Suitable Applications

The 2111.4 and 2111.5 Telehandler Fork Extensions are designed for construction sites where telehandlers need additional fork reach to handle oversized, long or awkwardly shaped loads. Typical applications include transporting timber, steel sections, scaffolding components, plasterboard packs and other materials that overhang the standard telehandler fork length. The extensions provide increased load support area, reducing the risk of loads tipping forward. Not suitable as a substitute for longer permanent forks where continuous extended-reach work is required.

How to Use the Telehandler Fork Extensions

  1. Set the telehandler forks to the required working width for the load to be handled.
  2. Approach the fork extensions with the telehandler and align the forks with the extension pockets.
  3. Remove the heel pins from the extensions. Drive the forks into the extensions, ensuring they are inserted as far back as possible โ€” the original fork must support at least 60% of the extension length.
  4. Reattach the heel pins on each extension, ensuring each pin passes behind the heel of the fork tine to secure the extension in place.
  5. Drive to the intended load. Enter the load ensuring it is positioned as far back onto the extensions and as close to the telehandler carriage as possible.
  6. Raise the load and check that it is balanced and secure before transporting. Move the load smoothly, avoiding sudden jolts or sharp turns.
  7. Lower the load at the delivery point and reverse the telehandler out until the extensions are completely clear.
  8. After use, lower the forks to the ground, release the heel pins and reverse out of the extensions. Replace the heel pins for storage.

Warning:
Do not use fork extensions for dragging loads. Do not exceed the UDL rating of the extensions or the residual capacity of the telehandler. The original fork tine must support at least 60% of the extension length. Always refer to the load plate on the unit and the telehandler manufacturer's guidelines.

Certification and Compliance

This product is CE marked and supplied with a full EC Declaration of Conformity in accordance with the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. A UKCA certificate is also provided where required for the Great Britain market. The fork extensions conform to ISO 13284, the British Standard for Fork Extensions. Manufactured under a DIN ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system. All lifting equipment used on UK construction sites must comply with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).

Safety Information

  • Never exceed the rated UDL per pair as shown on the type plate.
  • Always use in conjunction with the telehandler manufacturer's data and load plates.
  • The original fork tine must support at least 60% of the extension length.
  • Always ensure heel pins are fully engaged before lifting any load.
  • Do not use the extensions for dragging loads โ€” lift clear of the ground only.
  • Position the load as far back on the extensions and as close to the telehandler carriage as possible.
  • Inspect the extensions before each use for wear, distortion, cracking or corrosion.
  • A risk assessment must be carried out prior to using this equipment.
  • Required PPE: hard hat, safety boots, gloves, and hi-vis vest.
  • The type plate must remain present and legible at all times.

Inspection and Maintenance

The telehandler fork extensions must be inspected before each use and undergo a thorough examination at least every 12 months by a competent person in accordance with LOLER 1998. All inspections must be documented. Pay particular attention to the fork pockets for wear or deformation, heel pin holes, all weld points and the overall structural condition. Check for cracking, distortion, corrosion or thinning of material, particularly at stress points. General surface rusting should be treated with proprietary rust inhibitors, primers and paint on a regular basis.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between the 2111.4/.5 and the 2111.2/.3?

The 2111.4 and 2111.5 are designed for telehandler-profile fork tines, which are wider and thicker than standard forklift tines. The 2111.2 and 2111.3 have a 148 ร— 60mm pocket designed for standard forklift forks. Using the wrong profile will result in a loose or incompatible fit. Measure your fork tines before ordering and contact WOLFF Onsite to confirm the correct model for your machine.

Q: What is the 60% rule?

ISO 13284 requires that the original fork tine must support at least 60% of the total extension length. This ensures the extension is adequately supported and prevents it from flexing or detaching during use. Measure the length of your telehandler forks and compare against the extension length before ordering.

Q: How often do the extensions need to be inspected?

The extensions should be visually inspected before each use and undergo a thorough examination at least every 12 months by a competent person, in accordance with LOLER 1998. Pay particular attention to the fork pockets, heel pin holes and weld points.
