Supplied with a manufacturer's test certificate and CE Declaration of Conformity. Calibration certification is available on request. LOLER 1998 thorough examinations are required every 12 months by a competent person for any lifting accessory.
The Tigrip TZL Load Indicator combines a robust mechanical spring measurement with a clear electronic digital display, providing a reliable load reading without the cost or complexity of a full load-cell crane weigher. Designed for universal lifting and weighing applications, the TZL is well-suited to general construction site load verification, in-line crane weighing, sling and chain proof testing, and yard or workshop weighing. Capacities cover 2.5 tonne, 5 tonne, 10 tonne, and 20 tonne lifting applications. Manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Tigrip lifting brand, the TZL is supplied complete with a manufacturer's test certificate and operating manual. Shackle and hook adapter kits sized to match each capacity are available separately.
The TZL is suited to construction site load verification, scrap and recycling weighing, plant and equipment verification, sling and chain proof testing, and any universal lifting application from 2.5 to 20 tonne where a simple and reliable load indicator is required. Where higher accuracy or full crane-weigher functionality is needed, the Yale TKL, TKR, TKE, or TKI ranges should be specified instead.
Warning:
Do not exceed the rated capacity of the load indicator or its adapter kits. Do not shock-load the unit. Do not use the load indicator if the display shows an error or if the housing shows signs of damage. The crane operator must remain in full control of the lift at all times โ the load indicator does not replace standard rigging and lifting procedures.
Inspect the load indicator and adapter kit visually before each use, paying particular attention to the housing, connection points, pins, and the electronic display for damage or moisture ingress. Keep the unit clean and dry between uses. The TZL is supplied with a manufacturer's test certificate; LOLER 1998 thorough examinations are required every 12 months by a competent person. Recalibration is recommended at the same interval to maintain load reading accuracy.
The TZL is a load indicator with a mechanical spring measurement and electronic display. Crane weighers like the TKL use electronic load cells and offer higher precision. Use the TZL for general load verification, and a crane weigher when documented weighing accuracy is required.
Shackle and hook adapter kits matched to the load indicator capacity are available separately. See the Tigrip Shackle Adapter Kit and Hook Adapter Kit product listings for the correct kit for your TZL model.
Yes. The TZL is designed for in-line use between a crane hook and the load, as well as for stand-alone hand-held checks.
A manufacturer's test certificate is supplied as standard. Additional calibration certification is available on request.
Visual inspection should be carried out before each use. LOLER 1998 thorough examinations are required every 12 months. Recalibration is recommended at the same annual interval.
