Model Y 08/16/32 | Wire Rope Cable Puller | 800โ3200 daN Pulling Force | Aluminium Body
The Yale Yaletrac is a lightweight, compact wire rope cable puller with a high-tensile aluminium alloy housing for reduced weight without compromising strength, with pulling force ratings from 800 to 3200 daN covering medium to heavy industrial applications. The large flat bottom surface gives increased stability in both horizontal and vertical working positions. The forward and reversing levers are arranged in tandem for a slim profile with power transfer along the centre line โ the same robust Yaletrac mechanism as the ST series, in a lighter package.
| Item # | Description | Pulling Force (kg) |
|---|---|---|
| N02409053 | Y 08 - Base Unit Only | 800 |
| N02409594 | Y 08 - w/ 20m Cable | 800 |
| N02409054 | Y 16 - Base Unit Only | 1600 |
| N02409595 | Y 16 - w/ 20m Cable | 1600 |
| N02409055 | Y 32 - Base Unit Only | 3200 |
| N02409597 | Y 32 - w/ 20m Cable | 3200 |
All three sizes available as base unit or with 20m of matched Yaletrac cable. Pulling force shown in kg (1 daN โ 1 kgf). Uses special flexible six-strand rope with steel core, identified by an orange strand, with eye sling and safety latch on one end and tapered fitting on the other.
Supplied with a test certificate and EC Declaration of Conformity. CE marked to relevant EN standards for lifting accessories. LOLER 1998 thorough examinations required every 6 months by a competent person after initial certification. Design factor 4:1 unless otherwise specified.
Industrial maintenance, construction site rigging, plant relocation, factory installation, shipyards, dock works, power line construction, and any operation requiring controlled pulling or tensioning where weight-saving and portability are advantageous.
Warning:
Do not extend the hand lever with cheater bars or pipe extensions. Never exceed the rated pulling force โ if the shearing pin breaks, replace only with the original Yale spare from the carrying handle. Use only the Yale-supplied special flexible rope of the correct diameter; substitute ropes will not be gripped correctly by the parallel clamping system.
Inspect before each use โ focus on all load-bearing components, welds, hooks, safety latches, chain, rope and pendant controls. Thorough examination under LOLER 1998 is required at intervals not exceeding 6 months by a competent person. Replacement parts must be genuine manufacturer items to maintain certification. Records of all inspections must be retained for the life of the equipment.
Choose the aluminium Yaletrac when weight matters โ portable site work, overhead installations, work-at-height tasks where every kilo carried up a ladder counts. The ST is better suited to fixed industrial use where impact resistance and lowest cost take priority.
A calibrated sacrificial pin in the forward lever shears under excessive force, preventing damage to the puller or load. Spare pins are housed inside the carrying handle for field replacement. Always replace only with the original Yale spare โ using an incorrect pin defeats the protection.
No โ the standard Yaletrac uses a special flexible six-strand rope with steel core, while the ST uses a different rope specification. Always use the matched rope for each model.
Yes โ Yale supplies a combined manual (104376) covering both Yaletrac and Yaletrac ST product lines.
