WOLFF Onsite is proud to share a glimpse into the Chapter Living project, where the Vita Load Navigator (VLN) played a pivotal role in overcoming on-site challenges. This project, which began in 2023, involves the construction of a state-of-the-art student accommodation tower in the heart of London.
Working with Mace, the project's main contractor, WOLFFKRAN supplied tower cranes strategically positioned on grillages, due to the tight and constrained urban environment. Building in central London often presents logistical challenges, and this site was no exception. With limited space for manoeuvring materials and unpredictable UK weather conditions, maintaining progress required innovative solutions.
Recognising these hurdles, WOLFF Onsite introduced the Vita Load Navigator to the project. This device provided an essential advantage, allowing for faster and more efficient material installations. By stabilising loads in real-time and counteracting wind-induced rotation, the VLN ensured that progress remained on track - even during windy conditions.
Our team visited the Chapter Living site in London during the dismantling of the WOLFFKRAN tower cranes. The WOLFF 355B jib had to be lifted and carefully lowered into the tight, space-constrained streets below. The Vita Load Navigator was deployed to ensure the operation was carried out with maximum safety and efficiency.
