The Camlok ACH is an articulated horizontal lifting clamp engineered for asymmetric loads and plate-pivoting operations. The articulated joint allows the clamp to accommodate angular movement during the lift — essential where the load may need to swing, pivot or change orientation in transit. Available in ratings from 1300 kg up to 10,000 kg WLL per clamp.
Key Features
- Articulated joint — accommodates angular movement during lift — ideal for asymmetric, pivot, or swinging plate operations.
- Capacity range — 1300 kg up to 10,000 kg WLL per clamp.
- Pair-use design — typically used in matched pairs for plate turning and lifting.
- Heavy fabrication grade — engineered for steelworks, shipbuilding, and structural fabrication.
- Forged construction — robust build for daily use.
CE Marked, UKCA Compliant & LOLER 1998 Ready
The Camlok ACH plate clamp is CE marked, UKCA compliant, and supplied with certification. Fully compatible with LOLER 1998 and PUWER 1998 when used within rated capacity.
Suitable Applications
Plate turning, asymmetric load lifting, and pivot operations in steel fabrication, shipbuilding, bridge work, and structural steelwork. Particularly suited to plate orientation changes during the lift.
Inspection and Maintenance
A visual inspection is required before every use. A thorough examination by a qualified engineer is required at least every 6 months in regular use, in accordance with LOLER 1998. Records of examination must be kept. Refer to the manufacturer's manual for detailed inspection and maintenance instructions, derating factors for use, and replacement schedules for any wearing components.
