CLB is the bottom-mount variant โ it engages laterally into the bottom corner-fitting hole of an ISO container, with a spring-loaded bolt to prevent accidental release. CLT is the top-mount variant โ it engages into the top corner casting of an ISO container for crane attachment from above. The CLB is more common for lifting where access to the top corners is limited.
Container lifting lugs are supplied as a set of 4 โ one for each corner of the container. The rated WLL (40,000 kg or 56,000 kg) is the combined rating for the set used as designed (4-point lift).
No. The Camlok CLB and CLT are specifically engineered for ISO standard corner fittings on shipping containers. They must not be used on bespoke containers, non-standard corner castings, or as general-purpose lifting eyes.
