Camlok HG500 Vertical Plate Clamp

500kg WLL | Compact Vertical Plate Clamp | Single Capacity | CE Marked

Product Overview

The Camlok HG500 is a compact 500 kg WLL vertical plate clamp engineered for lighter-duty plate and sheet handling where the larger CX or CZ ranges are excessive. The HG500 uses the same self-locking cam mechanism as the heavier series but in a more compact, lighter package suitable for one-person attachment and rapid cycling.

CE Marked, UKCA Compliant & LOLER Ready

The Camlok HG500 is CE marked, UKCA compliant, and supplied with certification. Fully compatible with LOLER 1998 and PUWER 1998 when used within rated capacity.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 500 kg WLL — sized for light- to medium-duty vertical plate handling.
  • Compact and lightweight — easier to handle than the larger CX/CZ series โ€” ideal for frequent attachment cycles.
  • Self-locking cam action — gripping force increases with load for secure attachment.
  • Forged steel construction — built for daily use in fabrication shops.
  • Vertical-only lifting — designed for true vertical plate lifts.

Typical Applications

Light fabrication, sheet metal shops, sign-making, and general plate handling at the 500 kg WLL range. Ideal for repeat lifts of moderate-weight stock where the larger CX series is unnecessary.

Inspection & Maintenance

A visual inspection is required before every use. A thorough examination by a qualified engineer is required at least every 6 months in regular use, in accordance with LOLER 1998. Records of examination must be kept. Refer to the manufacturer's manual for detailed inspection and maintenance instructions, derating factors for use, and replacement schedules for any wearing components.

Supplied with manufacturer's certification, identification, and operating instructions. WOLFF Onsite offers post-sales support including spares, certified inspection, and replacement. Contact our team for advice on selection, sizing, and application-specific configurations.
