100kg to 3000kg Flat WLL | Permanent Magnet โ No Power Required | Lever-Activated On/Off | For Flat and Round Stock | CE Marked
The Camlok TPM permanent load lifting magnet is a self-contained lifting solution requiring no power source โ the magnetic field is generated by permanent magnets internally and switched on or off mechanically via a lever. Available in seven capacity ratings from 100 kg up to 3000 kg flat-stock WLL (with reduced ratings for round stock), the TPM is ideal for handling steel plates, sheets, blocks and cylindrical stock in fabrication, manufacturing and material handling environments.

CE Marked, UKCA Compliant & LOLER Ready
The Camlok TPM permanent lifting magnet is CE marked, UKCA compliant, and supplied with full documentation including a manufacturer's certificate, operating manual, and identification number for traceability. Fully compatible with LOLER 1998 and PUWER 1998 when correctly used and inspected.
Material handling in fabrication shops and steel stockholders โ moving plate, sheet, and bar stock between processes. Loading and unloading of laser cutting, plasma cutting, and CNC machining operations. Press shop and stamping operations where steel stock must be repositioned. Maintenance and machinery installation where a quick, certified lifting solution is needed. Not suitable for non-ferrous materials (aluminium, brass, copper, stainless 304/316) or materials with very thin sections relative to the magnet face.
A visual inspection is required before every use. A thorough examination by a qualified engineer is required at least every 6 months in regular use, in accordance with LOLER 1998. Records of examination must be kept. Refer to the manufacturer's manual for detailed inspection and maintenance instructions, derating factors for use, and replacement schedules for any wearing components.
Supplied with manufacturer's certification, identification, and operating instructions. WOLFF Onsite offers post-sales support including spares, certified inspection, and replacement. Contact our team for advice on selection, sizing, and application-specific configurations.
No. The TPM is a permanent lifting magnet โ the magnetic field is generated by internal permanent magnets. The lever mechanically switches the field on or off. No electrical supply or battery is required.
Flat WLL applies when the magnet is lifting flat plate or sheet with full contact across the magnet face. Round WLL applies to cylindrical stock where contact is reduced to a line (the cylinder's outer surface). Round-stock WLL is typically half the flat WLL โ always refer to the spec table.
The TPM is designed for ferromagnetic materials โ carbon steel and most low-alloy steels. It is not suitable for non-ferrous materials such as aluminium, brass, copper, or austenitic stainless steels (304/316). Magnetic stainless grades (e.g. 410, 430) may work at a derated capacity โ consult a competent person before use.
Paint, rust, scale, and surface roughness reduce the magnetic contact and therefore the effective WLL. Apply appropriate derating factors and always test the holding force at a low lift height before proceeding. The manual provides specific guidance on derating factors.
A visual inspection is required before every use. A thorough examination by a qualified engineer is required at least every 6 months for magnets in regular use, in accordance with LOLER 1998. Records of examination must be kept.
