The Pfaff-Silberblau HV 1008 is a manual hydraulic hand stacker that bridges the gap between a hand pallet truck and a counterbalance forklift, pairing a full 1,000 kg capacity with mast-based lift to 900 mm. The operator pumps a hand lever to raise the load progressively, making it ideal for stacking pallets onto racking, loading workbenches or lifting onto vehicle tail-lifts. A parking brake on the steering roller is fitted as standard. Engineered and manufactured by Pfaff-Silberblau (Columbus McKinnon Group).

Key Features

  • Ergonomic safety control handle — one-hand operation of lifting, driving and lowering.
  • Quick-lift for loads up to 100 kg — faster mast travel for lighter loads, reducing pumping effort.
  • Finely metered lowering — the lowering speed can be controlled precisely for sensitive placement of the load.
  • Single-acting hand pump — increased lift per handle stroke; no electrical supply required.
  • Robust mast construction — with hard chromium plated piston for durability and corrosion resistance.
  • Forced steering rollers — for easy, predictable handling and manoeuvring.
  • Steering roller with brake — for safe parking of the loaded stacker.
  • 1,122 mm fork length — suits standard UK pallets (1,000 × 1,200 mm) and Euro pallets (800 × 1,200 mm). The 90 mm lowered fork height clears EN 13698-compliant pallets.

Suitable Applications

The HV 1008 is the right tool for low-volume stacking — lifting loads onto workbenches, double-stacking pallets on light-duty shelving, transferring pallets onto trailer tail-lifts, and loading workshop saw benches and assembly stations. The 900 mm lift suits loading onto most workbenches and double-stacking standard 1,000 mm pallets two-high.

Safety Information

  • Do not exceed the rated 1,000 kg capacity.
  • Do not use to lift personnel under any circumstances.
  • Distribute the load evenly across both forks. Off-centre loading on a raised stacker is the primary cause of tip-over.
  • Always engage the parking brake before lifting or lowering.
  • Do not move the truck under load with the forks fully raised. Lower the load completely before travelling any distance.
  • Stack only on stable, level surfaces.
  • Inspect lifting chains at every annual examination — chains stretched beyond manufacturer tolerance must be replaced.
  • Inspect annually under PUWER 1998. The mast assembly should receive particular attention.
