Yale TWAZ High-Pressure Hand Pumps

Up to 2000 bar | For Bolt Tensioning and Specialist Applications | Two-Stage with Limiting Valves

The Yale TWAZ range comprises high-performance hand pumps with maximum operating pressure of 2000 bar, designed for specialist applications including bolt tensioning. Three models cover reservoir volumes of 0.7, 1.3, and 2.3 litres. The two-stage design allows rapid pressure build-up, with both pressure stages equipped with externally-adjustable limiting valves.

Designed for 2000 bar specialist applications

Yale lists the TWAZ applications as pressurizing hydraulic nuts and safety couplings, hydrostatic testing, bolt tensioners, high-pressure oil injection for bushing removal, pretensioning of anchors, test applications in laboratories, and as a power source within test stands and propeller press systems. 2000 bar operation requires specialist hoses and fittings (e.g. HH-2001-20 hoses) - standard 700 bar Yale accessories are NOT rated for TWAZ pressure.

Applications

Per Yale: pressurizing hydraulic nuts, safety couplings, hydrostatic testing, bolt tensioners, high-pressure oil injection for bushing removal, pretensioning of anchors, laboratory test applications, test stands, propeller press systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use standard 700 bar Yale couplers and hoses with TWAZ?
No. The TWAZ operates at 2000 bar - three times the rated pressure of standard 700 bar Yale equipment. Use only specialist 2000 bar hoses (e.g. HH-2001-20) and fittings. Yale specifies M22 x 1.5 oil port (not standard 3/8 NPT) to prevent accidental cross-connection.
What pressure gauge fits the TWAZ?
The optional GGY-2500 (0-2500 bar, 100 mm dial) is Yale's specified gauge for TWAZ applications. The GA-2000 gauge adaptor provides the connection.
What's the HPS-1/1500 A?
Yale's HPS-1/1500 A is a different high-pressure hand pump for 1500 bar applications - hydraulic nuts, bolt tensioning cylinders, hydraulic safety couplers. Single-stage 0.16 L pump with G 1/4 oil port.
