Wrap-around anchor sling for creating temporary anchor points on structural elements. Always verify the structural element is rated for at least 12 kN before use as an anchor.
This product is manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Yale lifting brand to EN ISO 9001 quality management standards. Compliant with BS EN 795 Class B for transportable anchor devices. Supplied with a manufacturer's test certificate and CE Declaration of Conformity. PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 Category III. Thorough examinations every 6 months by a competent person.
Suited to creating temporary anchor points by wrapping around structural elements such as steel beams, scaffold tubes, columns, or roof structural elements. Particularly useful for maintenance and inspection work where a fixed anchor is not available and the work duration is short.
Warning:
The structural element used as the anchor must be verified as rated to at least 12 kN. Inspecting the structural element is the user's responsibility. Webbing slings must not be used over sharp edges without edge protection โ sharp edges can cut through the webbing under fall arrest load.
Inspect the webbing and stitching for cuts, fraying, burns, or chemical damage before each use. Clean using warm water and mild detergent only. Air-dry away from direct heat. Store in a clean, dry place away from sunlight and chemicals. Thorough examination by a competent person every 6 months. Maximum service life 10 years from first use, subject to inspection.
It creates a temporary anchor point by wrapping around a structural element such as a steel beam, scaffold tube, or column. Used where no fixed anchor is available for the working task.
The structural element you anchor to must be rated for at least 12 kN (typical fall arrest anchor strength requirement). Verify with the structural design or a competent person โ assuming all steelwork is rated to 12 kN is not safe.
Webbing can be cut by sharp edges under fall arrest load. If the sling must pass over a sharp edge, use edge protection to prevent cutting.
A choker hitch passes one loop through the other, tightening on the structural element under load. A basket hitch connects both loops to a single connector with the sling forming a basket around the element. Choker hitch reduces the effective strength of the sling โ refer to the operating manual for the rated strength in each configuration.
Service life up to 10 years from first use, subject to inspection condition. Withdraw immediately if any damage is found.
Yes โ supplied with each sling.
Pre-use inspection and thorough examination by a competent person every 6 months.
