Accessories

The parts that make a system work

Height safety accessories cover everything that sits around the harness, lanyard and anchor — karabiners, rope grabs, trauma straps, tool tethers, rescue slings, bags and inspection tags. They are inexpensive individually and are usually what determines whether a system is practical to use every day.

Compatibility

An accessory has to suit the equipment it attaches to. A rope grab is made for a specific rope diameter and construction, and using it on anything else is not safe. Check what each item is approved to work with before ordering.

Tool tethering

Dropped objects are a hazard to everyone below. Tool lanyards, wrist loops and holsters keep tools attached to the user or the structure. Check the tether rating against the tool weight — most are rated for surprisingly light loads.

Common questions
What accessories do I need for work at height?

At minimum the connectors your system requires, plus trauma relief straps and a means of tethering tools. What else you need depends on the task and your rescue plan.

Can I use any rope grab on any rope?

No. Rope grabs are designed for a specific rope diameter and construction. Using one on a different rope is unsafe.

How do I stop tools being dropped from height?

Tool lanyards, wrist loops and holsters keep tools attached. Check the tether rating against the tool weight, as many are rated for light loads only.

Which brands do you stock for Accessories?
