UK support

Lifting-gear specialists in Sheffield & London — phone & email

Three towers for jobs the standard ranges do not suit. The MT2 P4000 pairs a P4000 generator with 4x240W G5 LED heads on a hand trolley, so one unit provides both light and site power. The TF4 is mains electric on a hand trolley with an electric mast actuator and a link kit, letting several units run from one supply. The VT-Solar is a hydraulic solar tower on a road trailer with an AGM pack and Victron remote control — no fuel, no engine and no running cost at all once deployed.

Product Compliance

Stage V certified where diesel powered. Lighting towers supplied with road trailers are built for UK towing with the appropriate hitch and welded hook options; confirm the towing arrangement matches your vehicle before ordering.

EA4 = electric actuator for mast raising, LKC = link kit for multiple connections via 16A CEE inlet/outlet sockets, CAN = Victron remote controller, GXD = GX digital display, AGM = AGM battery pack, AMK = AMOSS kit.

Key Features

  • MT2 P4000 gives light and site power — the integrated P4000 generator means one unit covers lighting and a working supply, rather than towing two machines to a small job.
  • TF4 link kit — 16A CEE inlet and outlet sockets let several units daisy-chain from one supply, which is how you light a long corridor or a linear job from a single feed.
  • Electric mast actuator on the TF4 — the mast raises on a motor rather than a winch, which matters where the tower is deployed and struck repeatedly through a shift.
  • VT-Solar has no running cost — once sited it runs on sunlight and battery — no fuel deliveries, no engine hours, no service visits.
  • Victron remote control on the solar unit — the CAN controller and GX display allow the system to be monitored and configured remotely rather than by site visit.
  • Hand trolley mounting on two models — the MT2 and TF4 are moved by one person, unlike trailer and frame towers that need a vehicle.

Suitable Applications

These cover the edges of the lighting range. The MT2 P4000 suits small works needing both light and a power supply — street works, utility repairs, short-duration jobs. The TF4 is for indoor and enclosed work where mains is available: warehouses, tunnels, plant rooms, and multi-unit lighting from one feed. The VT-Solar is for long unattended deployments where refuelling is impractical — remote sites, security lighting, long-term road schemes, and anywhere with no realistic fuel logistics.

How to Use

  1. Position on firm level ground, clear of overhead obstructions and power lines.
  2. Deploy the stabilisers and confirm the unit is level.
  3. Check fuel, oil or battery charge depending on the model.
  4. Raise the mast, observing wind conditions and overhead clearance.
  5. Set the direction of the lamp heads before final elevation where possible.
  6. Lower the mast fully and retract the stabilisers before moving.

Warning: The TF4 is mains powered equipment used outdoors or in damp conditions in many applications. Confirm the supply has appropriate RCD protection and that leads and connections are inspected before use.

Safety Information

  • Never raise the mast under or near overhead power lines.
  • Deploy all stabilisers and confirm the unit is level before raising the mast.
  • Do not raise the mast in high wind; observe the manufacturer's wind speed limit.
  • Lower the mast fully before moving or towing the unit.
  • Keep the area beneath the mast clear while raising and lowering.
  • Do not look directly into the LED heads at close range.

Inspection and Maintenance

Check the mast, winch or actuator, stabilisers and lamp heads before each deployment, and confirm the mast locks correctly at height. On diesel and hybrid units follow the engine service schedule by running hours; on battery and solar units check the state of charge and the panel or charging system. Lighting towers are work equipment under PUWER, and the mast is a lifting mechanism - keep inspection records and withdraw from service on any doubt about the mast or its locking arrangement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which one gives me light and power together?

The MT2 P4000, which includes a P4000 generator alongside the 4x240W LED array on a hand trolley.

Q: What is the TF4 link kit for?

It allows multiple TF4 units to be connected in series from one 16A supply using CEE inlet and outlet sockets, so a long or linear area can be lit from a single feed.

Q: Does the solar tower work in a British winter?

Output falls with daylight hours, so the AGM battery pack and the load profile matter more in winter. Size the deployment realistically and use the Victron remote monitoring to watch state of charge.

Q: Can the TF4 run off a generator?

It is mains electric equipment, so it can run from a generator supply provided the output is stable and adequately protected. Confirm the arrangement before relying on it.
