Cylinders & Accessories

Matching cylinder to task

Hydraulic cylinders vary by capacity, stroke, and whether they are single or double acting. Single acting cylinders return under load or spring pressure and suit most lifting; double acting cylinders are powered in both directions and suit pulling or controlled retraction.

Hoses and fittings

Cylinders, pumps and hoses must share the same pressure rating and coupler type. Mismatched couplers are the usual reason a set arrives on site and cannot be connected.

Common questions
What is the difference between single and double acting cylinders?

Single acting cylinders are powered one way and return under load or spring pressure. Double acting cylinders are powered in both directions, giving controlled retraction.

Will any pump work with any cylinder?

Only if the pressure rating and coupler type match. Confirm both before ordering, as mismatched couplers are a common problem on site.

Delivery Information

From our depot to your site, every order is fully tracked and delivered on our own WOLFF Onsite vehicles or via trusted courier partners. Delivery costs are calculated based on your postcode and order size.

Pallet Delivery
Dispatched within 1–2 working days, delivered next working day between 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday. Delivery cost is based on the number of pallet spaces and your delivery zone.

Parcel Delivery
Smaller items like radio accessories and safety equipment ship via tracked courier at a flat rate. Deliveries between 8:30am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

RENTAL Delivery / Collection
All rentals are delivered and collected by the WOLFF Onsite team. We'll confirm a delivery time that works for you and arrange collection within 3 working days of your hire end date. Deliveries and collections between 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, Saturday collections can be arranged if suitable.

Dispatch Times
Orders placed by 1pm are dispatched same day where possible. Some products carry a manufacturing lead time, this is always stated in the product description.
