Site Trolleys & Carts

Moving materials by hand

Site trolleys and carts move materials around a site where a forklift cannot reach or is not worth bringing out — through buildings, up ramps, across finished floors. The right one depends more on the load shape than the weight.

Wheels and terrain

Pneumatic tyres cope with rough ground, kerbs and debris. Solid wheels roll more easily on smooth floors and never puncture. Choose for the worst surface on the route, not the average.

Load type

Pipe and bar need a rack that supports along the length. Sheet material needs an upright frame. Loose material needs a tipping body. A general purpose truck handles none of them particularly well.

Common questions
What size trolley do I need?

Work from the load shape first, then the weight. A truck that carries the weight but cannot hold the load safely is no use.

Pneumatic or solid wheels?

Pneumatic for rough ground, kerbs and debris. Solid for smooth floors and where punctures would be a nuisance.

Can trolleys be used on finished floors?

Choose non-marking wheels where the floor finish matters. Standard wheels can leave marks on sealed or coated surfaces.

Which brands do you stock for Site Trolleys & Carts?

We supply Eichinger, Armorgard and Invicta. Ranges vary, so check the brand page for the full listing.
