Height Safety

Fall protection in a hazardous area

The fall protection principles do not change in an explosive atmosphere, but the hardware does. Connectors, blocks and anchor components are made from materials chosen so that dropping or striking them cannot generate an incendive spark, and the certification covers the item as supplied.

Specify by zone, not by preference

The zone classification decides what is acceptable. A block rated for one zone is not automatically suitable for another, and dust and gas hazards are treated separately.

Keep the set together

A rated block on a standard karabiner is not a rated system. Assemble the whole chain from suitable components and keep the certification documents with the kit.

Common questions
Is the rescue plan different in a hazardous area?

The requirement to plan for rescue is the same, but the rescue equipment must also be suitable for the zone and the plan should account for restricted access.

Can I mix rated and standard components?

No. Every component entering the zone needs to be suitable, or the assembly is no longer protected.

Delivery Information

From our depot to your site, every order is fully tracked and delivered on our own WOLFF Onsite vehicles or via trusted courier partners. Delivery costs are calculated based on your postcode and order size.

Pallet Delivery
Dispatched within 1–2 working days, delivered next working day between 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday. Delivery cost is based on the number of pallet spaces and your delivery zone.

Parcel Delivery
Smaller items like radio accessories and safety equipment ship via tracked courier at a flat rate. Deliveries between 8:30am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

RENTAL Delivery / Collection
All rentals are delivered and collected by the WOLFF Onsite team. We'll confirm a delivery time that works for you and arrange collection within 3 working days of your hire end date. Deliveries and collections between 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, Saturday collections can be arranged if suitable.

Dispatch Times
Orders placed by 1pm are dispatched same day where possible. Some products carry a manufacturing lead time, this is always stated in the product description.
