Choosing by access, not capacity

The constraint on most crane selection is getting the machine into position and setting it up, rather than the weight of the lift. Spider cranes pass through doorways and work indoors; pick-and-carry and mini cranes suit yards and confined external areas.

Ground bearing and outriggers

Capacity depends on outrigger spread and what the ground beneath can take. A machine on partial spread lifts far less than the headline figure, and the ground has to carry the point load through the pads.

Every lift needs planning by someone competent, with the load weight confirmed, the radius established and the crane chart checked for the configuration achievable on site.

Common questions
How do I choose a crane for indoor work?

Start from access — doorway widths, floor loading and headroom. Spider cranes are designed for this and often run on electric power indoors.

Delivery Information

From our depot to your site, every order is fully tracked and delivered on our own WOLFF Onsite vehicles or via trusted courier partners. Delivery costs are calculated based on your postcode and order size.

Pallet Delivery
Dispatched within 1–2 working days, delivered next working day between 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday. Delivery cost is based on the number of pallet spaces and your delivery zone.

Parcel Delivery
Smaller items like radio accessories and safety equipment ship via tracked courier at a flat rate. Deliveries between 8:30am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

RENTAL Delivery / Collection
All rentals are delivered and collected by the WOLFF Onsite team. We'll confirm a delivery time that works for you and arrange collection within 3 working days of your hire end date. Deliveries and collections between 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, Saturday collections can be arranged if suitable.

Dispatch Times
Orders placed by 1pm are dispatched same day where possible. Some products carry a manufacturing lead time, this is always stated in the product description.
