Stationary diesel generating sets for prime and standby power in industry, data centres, healthcare and commercial premises. The full range is Pramac; for smaller sites see standby generators, and connect safely with our power distribution.

Industrial generators are rated in kVA. The usable real power in kW is the kVA rating multiplied by the power factor, commonly taken as 0.8, so a 100 kVA set delivers around 80 kW. Size against the real load you need to run.
A diesel generator running at light load for long periods does not burn its fuel completely, leading to deposits in the engine and exhaust, often called wet stacking. Sizing on the actual load profile rather than on peak alone keeps the set working in its efficient range.
A prime rating is for continuous running at a varying load. A standby rating is for emergency use when the mains fails and is not intended for continuous running. Check which rating a quoted figure refers to before comparing sets.
Allow for a level base, fuel supply, exhaust routing, ventilation and connection by a competent electrician. Getting these settled before delivery avoids a set sitting idle on site.
kVA is the apparent power rating. kW is the usable real power, which is kVA multiplied by the power factor, commonly 0.8.
No. Standby ratings are for emergency use when mains power fails. For continuous running, work from the prime rating.
Yes. Send us your load details or use our power calculator and we will recommend a set, deliver it and commission it.
