The Conquip Autolock Blowout Skip provides a safe, contained way to blow out concrete pump lines on site, collecting excess concrete so it can be transferred to complete the pour rather than wasted. Locking arms secure the cover during blowout and transport, and a gas-assisted ram automatically engages the skip onto the forks to prevent accidental tipping. Crane lifting points and fork pockets on both the skip and the cover allow repositioning around site without re-rigging.

Key Features

  • Direct line cleaning -- pump lines blow out into the skip and on into a Concrete Washout System for water re-use.
  • Crane lifting points and fork pockets -- both skip and cover, for flexible handling around site.
  • Locking cover arms -- secure the cover during blowout and during transport, preventing release.
  • Gas-assisted ram -- automatic locking onto the forks prevents accidental tipping in transit.
  • Robust steel construction -- engineered for repeat use under typical site conditions.

Safer Pump Line Cleaning, Less Waste, Less Splash

Captures excess pump line concrete for re-use rather than waste, eliminates the splash hazards of open-air line cleaning, and supports site environmental compliance by keeping concrete slurry contained and preventing ground contamination.

More About This Product

The Conquip Autolock Blowout Skip provides a safe, contained way to blow out concrete pump lines on site. Excess concrete that would otherwise be wasted is collected in the skip and can be transferred to complete the pour, reducing waste and avoiding ground contamination. The cover features locking arms that secure it during blowout and transport, and a gas-assisted ram automatically engages the skip onto the forks, preventing accidental tipping. Crane lifting points and fork pockets on both the skip and the cover allow the cover to be removed with the same handling kit and the skip to be repositioned around site without re-rigging. The blowout skip pairs naturally with a Concrete Washout System: pump lines can be cleaned directly into the washout, with the cleaned water reused on site.

Suitable Applications

The Autolock Blowout Skip suits any site running concrete pump operations where waste reduction, ground protection or splash control are priorities. Common uses include high-rise pours, large slab pours, civil works, and any site where the principal contractor or environmental plan requires controlled disposal of pump line residues.

How to Use

  1. Position the skip on level, firm ground with the cover secured by its locking arms.
  2. Connect the pump line and blow out into the skip with the cover in place to contain splash.
  3. Once blowout is complete, lift the cover via crane or forklift to access the contents.
  4. Transfer the contained concrete to complete the active pour where possible, or transport the skip to the washout system for cleaning.
  5. Clean the skip and cover, re-secure the locking arms, and the unit is ready for next use.

Warning:
Always confirm the cover locking arms are engaged before blowout begins. Do not exceed the rated WLL of 3600kg. Confirm the lifting equipment in use has been thorough-examined and current LOLER certification is held.

Safety Information

  • Operators handling concrete must wear appropriate PPE -- gloves, eye protection and high-vis as a minimum.
  • Confirm crane or forklift capacity exceeds the loaded skip weight (skip + concrete) before lifting.
  • Inspect the locking arms, gas ram and lifting points before each shift.
  • Ensure the skip is on level ground before opening the cover.
  • Train all operators on the autolock fork engagement system before first use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What stops the cover popping during blowout?

The locking arms physically retain the cover. They must be engaged before pump line blowout begins -- this is the standard operating procedure.

Q: Can I use this with any concrete washout system?

It pairs natively with the Conquip Concrete Washout System for direct pump line cleaning and water re-use, but functions as a standalone blowout skip on any compatible site setup.

Q: How is it lifted?

Both the skip and the cover have crane lifting points and standard fork pockets, so the same handling kit moves either component.
