Lifting-gear specialists in Sheffield & London — phone & email

The EY15L and EY20L are the lightest powered pallet trucks in the Lifter range by a wide margin: 116.5kg and 119kg including battery, against 155kg for the CX12 and 252kg for the CX14. That weight is what lithium buys, and it changes what the truck can do — it can be lifted into a vehicle, used on a tail lift, and moved between sites in a van without plant. At 82mm lowered it enters pallets a heavier truck struggles with, and it ships in assembled-tiller, two-in-a-box and four-in-a-box configurations for fleet buyers.

Manufacturer Assurance

Lifter by Pramac is backed by over 40 years of material handling equipment manufacture. All Lifter by Pramac products are designed to meet 100% compliance with current standard regulations, and are subject to internal quality testing for reliability and durability.

Both: lift height 115mm, lowered height 82mm, overall length 1552mm, aisle width 2024mm, turning radius 1353mm, travel 4.0 km/h laden. Replacement batteries: EY15L 48V 10Ah (EY000A00050), EY20L 48V 15Ah (EY000A00051).

Key Features

  • 116.5kg and 119kg including battery — roughly half the weight of a conventional electric pallet truck, which is what makes vehicle and tail-lift work practical.
  • Lithium technology — no topping up, no gassing, no dedicated charging room, and opportunity charging in breaks without harming the battery.
  • 82mm lowered height — lower than the CX range at 85mm, so it enters shallower pallets and slips onto tail lifts more easily.
  • Two capacities on one platform — 1500kg and 2000kg share dimensions and weight, so the choice is purely about load without a footprint penalty.
  • Multipack supply — 2-in-a-box and 4-in-a-box bring the unit price down substantially for fleet and multi-vehicle purchases.
  • User-replaceable battery — 48V 10Ah and 15Ah packs available as spares, so a flat battery is a swap rather than a breakdown.

Suitable Applications

These are the trucks for delivery and distribution work: multi-drop vehicles, tail-lift deliveries, retail and hospitality supply rounds, and any operation where the truck travels with the load rather than staying in a building. They also suit mezzanines and upper floors reached by lift, where a 250kg truck is a problem. In a fixed warehouse doing continuous work, the CX12 or CX14 offer more robust construction for the duty; the EY is built around portability.

How to Use

  1. Check battery charge and confirm the load is within the rated capacity.
  2. Lower the forks fully and enter the pallet squarely, driving the forks home.
  3. Raise just clear of the floor using the tiller controls.
  4. Travel with the tiller in the operating position, keeping the truck in view and pedestrians clear.
  5. Release the butterfly control to brake; the truck stops automatically if the tiller is released.
  6. Lower, release the load and withdraw the forks squarely.
  7. Return the truck to the charge point at the end of the shift.

Warning: These are light trucks carrying heavy loads. On a tail lift or a van floor, confirm the deck rating covers the truck plus the load before driving on.

Safety Information

  • Only trained and authorised operators should use a powered pallet truck.
  • Travel at a pace appropriate to the floor, the load and the people around you.
  • Keep feet clear of the wheels; a powered truck does not stop instantly.
  • Never carry passengers and never ride on a pedestrian truck.
  • Lower the forks fully before leaving the truck and before charging.
  • Charge in a well-ventilated area following the battery manufacturer's instructions.

Inspection and Maintenance

Check battery charge, brake function, wheels and forks before each shift, and confirm the truck stops when the tiller is released. Keep drive and load wheels clear of banding and wrap. Battery care depends on type: lead-acid needs topping up on schedule, gel and lithium do not. Powered trucks fall under PUWER; keep inspection records and withdraw anything that fails a check.

What's Included

  • EY15L or EY20L truck as ordered, with lithium battery
  • Tiller — fitted on AT codes, supplied loose on 2B and 4B multipack codes
  • Operator manual
  • Replacement batteries (EY000A00050 / EY000A00051) are separate items

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: EY15L or EY20L?

Identical size, weight and dimensions — the only difference is 1500kg against 2000kg capacity and battery size. Choose on the heaviest pallet you handle.

Q: What does 2-in-a-box mean?

Trucks supplied unassembled in multipacks at a lower unit price. The tiller needs fitting on arrival. The AT codes arrive with the tiller assembled and ready to work.

Q: How long does the battery last?

The 48V 10Ah and 15Ah lithium packs cover typical delivery-round duty. Lithium can be opportunity charged during breaks, so partial charging between drops is normal rather than harmful.

Q: Can it be used on a tail lift?

That is one of its main applications. At 116.5kg it is well within most tail lift ratings, but always check the lift capacity against truck plus load.
