Lifting-gear specialists in Sheffield & London — phone & email

The GB is the entry point to the Lifter by Pramac hand pallet truck range, built for sites that need dependable pallet movement without the specification of the GS EVO. It carries 2500kg on every configuration and is offered in the three fork lengths that cover most UK pallet handling: 1000mm on wide 685mm forks, 1150mm on standard 550mm forks, and a 2000mm long-fork version for twin pallets and extended loads. Steer wheel material is specified at order, with nylon for dry indoor floors, rubber where a quieter and more forgiving contact patch is wanted, and polyurethane on the long-fork model.

Manufacturer Assurance

Lifter by Pramac is backed by over 40 years of material handling equipment manufacture. All Lifter by Pramac products are designed to meet 100% compliance with current standard regulations, and are subject to internal quality testing for reliability and durability.

Key Features

  • Full 2500kg rating on every build — the GB is an entry-level truck by specification, not by capacity, and handles the same load as the trucks above it in the range.
  • Choice of steer wheel material — nylon runs lightest on smooth dry concrete, rubber is quieter and copes better with joints and minor debris, and polyurethane is fitted to the 2000mm long-fork model.
  • Tandem load rollers — twin rollers on each fork spread the load across four contact points, reducing pressure on pallet boards and easing entry over the bottom deck.
  • Assembled tiller supply — AT units arrive with the tiller fitted and ready to work, with no assembly required on delivery.
  • Pack of six for fleet buying — the P6 codes bring the unit price down for sites standardising on one configuration across several bays or vehicles.
  • 2000mm long-fork option — the TCBB7AUV01M handles two pallets in line or long stillage loads, which is unusual at this level of the market.

Suitable Applications

The GB suits general warehousing, stockrooms, workshops and delivery vehicles where a pallet truck is needed regularly but not continuously. It is the sensible choice for a spare truck, a second unit on a loading bay, or fitting out multiple vehicles where cost per unit matters more than a premium specification. The 1000 x 685mm build is the one to pick for wide pallets, cages and stillages. Where the truck will be in near-constant use, or where a 3D ergonomic tiller and entry and exit rollers would genuinely reduce operator effort, the GS EVO is the better long-term buy. For uneven or sloping ground, specify a powered truck instead.

How to Use

  1. Confirm the load is within the 2500kg rating and the pallet is sound.
  2. Set the tiller control to lower so the forks sit at their lowest point.
  3. Enter the pallet squarely and drive the forks fully home.
  4. Select lift and pump the tiller until the load is clear of the floor.
  5. Set the control to neutral and move the load, pulling the truck rather than pushing where the route allows.
  6. Select lower, set the load down, and withdraw the forks squarely.

Warning: Never exceed 2500kg, never ride on the truck, and never use it on a gradient. A hand pallet truck has no brake, and on any slope a loaded truck will run away from the operator.

Safety Information

  • Only trained operators should use a hand pallet truck.
  • Keep feet clear of the load wheels and the underside of the forks.
  • Never carry passengers.
  • Do not lift unstable, overhanging or unevenly distributed loads.
  • Take the truck out of service if the hydraulic unit leaks, the forks creep down under load, or a wheel is damaged.
  • Park with the forks fully lowered.

Inspection and Maintenance

Give the truck a visual check each shift, covering wheels, rollers, tiller linkage and the hydraulic unit. Keep the load rollers clear of shrink wrap and strapping, which is the usual reason a truck starts to feel heavy. Grease the wheel bearings and pump linkage at the intervals in the operator manual. Pallet trucks used at work fall under PUWER, so keep an inspection record and withdraw anything that fails a check.

What's Included

  • Hand pallet truck with forks and hydraulic unit
  • Tiller arm — fitted on AT (Assembled Tiller) codes, supplied loose on P6 pack codes
  • Operator manual

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between the GB and the GS EVO?

Both carry 2500kg. The GS EVO adds a 3D ergonomic tiller designed for heavier loads, a more sensitive fork control system, entry and exit rollers for easier pallet entry, and non-marking polyurethane wheels. The GB is the simpler, lower-cost truck for lighter duty cycles.

Q: What does AT mean on the product code?

Assembled Tiller. The truck is supplied with the tiller already fitted, ready to use. Codes ending P6 are supplied in packs of six at a lower unit price.

Q: Should I choose nylon or rubber steer wheels?

Nylon rolls lightest on smooth, dry, level concrete and is the lower-cost option. Rubber is quieter, grips better and copes more comfortably with expansion joints, minor debris and slightly worn floors. If the truck works near occupied areas, rubber is usually worth the small premium.

Q: Do I need 550mm or 685mm forks?

550mm suits standard pallets. 685mm is for wider pallets, cages and stillages where the fork pockets are set further apart. Measure your pocket centres before ordering, as the wider forks will not enter a standard pallet.
