Lifting-gear specialists in Sheffield & London — phone & email

The Silence model is built to cut noise emission on the surfaces that cause it: rough concrete, tiled floors, kerbs and vehicle tail lifts. It is Piek certified, the Dutch standard governing noise from night-time and early-morning deliveries in residential areas, which makes it the specification to reach for where deliveries happen outside normal hours. Rubber steer wheels and poly triple load rollers replace the standard arrangement, and the frame and hydraulics are damped to reduce the metallic noise a conventional truck makes when the forks drop or the load rollers cross a joint.

Manufacturer Assurance

Lifter by Pramac is backed by over 40 years of material handling equipment manufacture. All Lifter by Pramac products are designed to meet 100% compliance with current standard regulations, and are subject to internal quality testing for reliability and durability.

Technical Specifications

Product Code Capacity Fork Length Fork Width Steer Wheel Load Wheel
TEM41MB0100 2000kg 1150mm 525mm Rubber Poly Triple
TEM01MB0100 2000kg 800mm 525mm Rubber Poly Triple

Both models are factory order. Capacity is 2000kg, below the 2500kg of the standard GS EVO.

Key Features

  • Piek certified — meets the recognised standard for low-noise delivery equipment, which is what site and local authority conditions are usually written against.
  • Rubber steer wheels — absorb impact and noise where nylon or polyurethane would transmit it.
  • Poly triple load rollers — three rollers per fork spread the load and reduce the noise of crossing pallet boards and floor joints.
  • Damped frame and hydraulics — cuts the metallic clatter of fork drop, which is the noise most likely to carry into housing.
  • Two fork lengths — 1150mm as standard and a short 800mm version for working inside vehicle bodies.

Suitable Applications

This truck exists for supermarket and convenience store deliveries, hospital and hotel service areas, city-centre restaurants and bars, and any night or early-morning delivery round working near housing. It is also worth specifying inside buildings where noise carries: hospitals, care homes, schools, hotels and offices. If the truck works in a warehouse with nobody nearby to disturb, the standard GS EVO is the sensible choice.

How to Use

  1. Check the load is within the rated capacity and the pallet is sound.
  2. Set the tiller control to lower and bring the forks fully down.
  3. Enter the pallet squarely and drive the forks fully home.
  4. Select lift and raise the load clear of the floor.
  5. Move with the control in neutral, pulling rather than pushing where the route allows.
  6. Lower, release the load and withdraw the forks squarely.

Warning: Capacity is 2000kg, not the 2500kg of the standard GS EVO. Where the trucks work alongside each other, make sure operators know the ratings differ.

Safety Information

  • Only trained operators should use a pallet truck.
  • Keep feet clear of the load wheels and the underside of the forks.
  • Never ride on the truck or carry passengers.
  • Do not lift loads that are unstable, overhanging or unevenly distributed.
  • Withdraw from service if the forks creep down under load or the hydraulic unit leaks.
  • Store with the forks fully lowered.

Inspection and Maintenance

Carry out a pre-use check each shift covering wheels, rollers, tiller linkage and the hydraulic unit, and confirm the forks hold position under load. Keep load rollers clear of banding and shrink wrap, which is the usual cause of a truck becoming heavy to move. As work equipment the truck falls under PUWER, so keep an inspection record and take out of service anything that fails a check.

What's Included

  • Piek certified silent hand pallet truck
  • Rubber steer wheels and poly triple load rollers fitted
  • Operator manual and Piek certification documentation

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Piek certification?

A Dutch standard for equipment used in low-noise deliveries, widely referenced across Europe where night-time and early-morning deliveries are permitted only with quiet equipment. Local authority conditions are often written against it.

Q: How much quieter is it in practice?

Pramac designed it to strongly reduce noise emission on rough and tiled surfaces, which is where a conventional truck is loudest. The largest gains are on poor floors and over thresholds.

Q: Why 2000kg rather than 2500kg?

The noise-reducing wheel and roller arrangement carries a lower rating. If you need 2500kg, the standard GS EVO is the truck, though it will not meet a quiet-delivery condition.

Q: Do I need it for daytime deliveries?

Usually not. It earns its cost where deliveries fall outside permitted hours or near residential property, or inside noise-sensitive buildings.
