The GS is the entry model to the Lifter by Pramac hand pallet truck range proper, sitting between the basic GB and the EVO generation. It carries 2500kg on 1150 x 525mm forks, the dimensions that handle the most common pallets including Euro pallets. The GS is built around a cast iron hydraulic unit with an integrated oil tank and a chromed piston, which is the part of the truck that determines how long it stays in service. The ergonomic tiller uses a maintenance-free fixing system, and directional polyurethane wheels are fitted as standard.
Manufacturer Assurance
Lifter by Pramac is backed by over 40 years of material handling equipment manufacture. All Lifter by Pramac products are designed to meet 100% compliance with current standard regulations, and are subject to internal quality testing for reliability and durability.

Key Features
- Cast iron hydraulic unit — an integrated oil tank and chromed piston in a cast iron body, which is the specification that separates the GS from lighter budget trucks and does most to determine service life.
- Maintenance-free tiller fixing — the ergonomic tiller uses a fixing system that needs no routine adjustment, removing a common wear point on trucks in daily use.
- Directional polyurethane wheels as standard — polyurethane rolls easily on warehouse floors and is kinder to floor finishes than nylon.
- Euro pallet dimensions — 1150 x 525mm handles the most common pallet sizes in UK and European distribution without needing a special order.
- 2500kg capacity — the full range rating, so the GS is not capacity-limited relative to the trucks above it.
- Pack of six option — the P6 code reduces the unit price where several identical trucks are being bought at once.
Suitable Applications
The GS is the general-purpose warehouse truck: pick faces, goods-in and goods-out, production feeding, retail stockrooms and vehicle loading. Its single fork configuration is deliberate, since 1150 x 525mm covers standard and Euro pallets and suits the great majority of sites. Choose it where the duty cycle is steady daily use on sound indoor floors and the extra features of the EVO are not needed. If the site handles heavier or awkward loads through the day, the GS EVO's 3D tiller and entry and exit rollers will reduce operator effort noticeably. If pallets vary widely in size, the GS EVO range offers twelve fork configurations against the GS's one.
How to Use
- Check the load is within 2500kg and the pallet is in sound condition.
- Set the tiller control to lower and bring the forks to their lowest position.
- Enter the pallet squarely, driving the forks fully home.
- Select lift and pump the tiller until the load is clear of the floor.
- Return the control to neutral and move the load, pulling rather than pushing where possible.
- Select lower, release the load, and withdraw the forks squarely.
Warning: Never exceed the 2500kg rating and never use the truck on a slope. Hand pallet trucks have no braking system, and a loaded truck on a gradient cannot be held by the operator.
Safety Information
- Only trained operators should use a hand pallet truck.
- Keep feet clear of the load wheels and the underside of the forks.
- Never ride on the truck or carry passengers.
- Do not lift loads that are unstable, overhanging or unevenly distributed.
- Withdraw from service if the forks creep down under load or the hydraulic unit leaks.
- Store with the forks fully lowered.
Inspection and Maintenance
Check wheels, rollers, tiller and hydraulic unit before each shift, and confirm the forks hold their position under load. Keep rollers free of banding and wrap. The cast iron hydraulic unit is a sealed assembly in normal service; top up and service it only as the operator manual sets out. As work equipment, the truck falls under PUWER, so keep inspection records and take out of service anything that fails a check.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will the GS handle Euro pallets?
Yes. At 1150 x 525mm the forks are dimensioned for the most common pallets in circulation, Euro pallets included.
Q: Why does the GS come in only one fork size?
It is the standard-configuration truck in the range, and 1150 x 525mm covers the majority of applications. Where a different fork length or width is needed, the GS EVO range offers twelve configurations from 800 x 400mm up to 2400 x 525mm.
Q: What does the cast iron hydraulic unit actually change?
It is the working heart of the truck. A cast iron body with an integrated oil tank and chromed piston resists wear and seal damage better than lighter pressed assemblies, which is what determines whether a truck is still lifting cleanly after several years of daily use.
Q: Is a corrosion-resistant version available?
Not in the GS itself. For galvanised or full stainless steel construction, see the GS EVO galvanised and stainless models, which are intended for washdown, food production and chemical environments.
