The LX is the intensive-use stacker: fifteen models running from 1200kg at 1510mm up to 1600kg, and lift heights reaching 5025mm on the triplex masts. It is built for multi-shift operation rather than occasional use, and it is specified rather than simply bought — batteries and chargers are ordered separately so the power pack matches the duty cycle, and an operator platform is available on the LX12, LX14 and LX16 for sites where travel distances make walking impractical.

LX models do NOT include a battery and charger as standard — these must be ordered separately. Options: 225Ah 24V battery (HZ000S0000N), 300Ah 24V battery (HZ000S0000R), 25A charger (EY000A0000S), 35A charger (EY000A0000T), automatic battery filling (HZ000S0000P), operator platform for LX12 (HZ000S0000L) or LX14/LX16 (HZ000S0000M), cold storage kit (HZ000S00016).
Key Features
- Fifteen models to 5025mm — the tallest stacker in the Lifter range, reaching third and fourth beam levels that the NX and GX cannot.
- 1600kg capacity on the LX16 — the highest rating in the range, for heavier pallets that exceed a 1200kg truck.
- Battery specified to the duty — 225Ah or 300Ah, chosen for the shift pattern rather than fixed at build, which is what separates an intensive-use truck from a light-duty one.
- Operator platform option — on LX12, LX14 and LX16 — the operator rides rather than walks, which changes what is achievable over long travel distances. Not retrofittable, so specify at order.
- Triplex and freelift masts — freelift raises the forks before the mast extends, allowing work in containers and under low openings at height.
- Cold storage kit available — for chilled and frozen stores, where standard hydraulics and electronics suffer.
Suitable Applications
The LX is for warehouses running stacking as a continuous operation: distribution centres, high-bay storage, cold stores, and manufacturing with multi-shift material flow. Specify the operator platform where travel distances are long — it is the single change that most affects productivity, and it cannot be retrofitted. The triplex freelift models are for container work and low-headroom buildings. Where stacking is regular but not constant, the NX costs considerably less and does the same job at lower duty.
How to Use
- Check the load is within the residual capacity at the height you intend to lift to, not just the nominal rating.
- Confirm battery charge and that the forks and mast are clear of damage.
- Enter the pallet squarely with the forks fully lowered and drive them home.
- Raise just clear of the floor to travel; never travel with the load at height.
- Position square to the racking, check overhead clearance, then raise to the required level.
- Enter the racking, set the load down, withdraw squarely and lower fully before moving off.
- Return the truck to the charge point at the end of the shift.
Warning: Battery and charger are NOT supplied with LX models and must be ordered separately. A truck delivered without them cannot be commissioned. Residual capacity also falls sharply with height — 800kg at 5025mm against a 1400kg nominal rating.
Safety Information
- Only trained and authorised operators should use a stacker.
- Never travel with the load raised; lower fully before moving.
- Never allow anyone to stand or pass under raised forks.
- Check overhead clearance and floor condition before lifting.
- Observe the residual capacity at height, which is lower than the nominal rating.
- Charge only in a well-ventilated area and lower the forks before charging.
- Never retrofit an operator platform; it is a factory-fit option only and affects the truck's stability calculation.
Inspection and Maintenance
Check the mast channels, chains, rollers and forks before each shift, along with battery charge and the brake. Chains stretch and must be inspected and adjusted at the manufacturer's interval — a neglected chain is the most common serious fault on a stacker. Keep the mast clear of debris and wrap. Stackers are lifting equipment as well as work equipment, so they fall under LOLER as well as PUWER: keep inspection records and arrange thorough examination at the required interval. Lead-acid batteries in intensive use need topping up on schedule; the automatic battery filling system (HZ000S0000P) removes that as a manual task and is worth specifying on a multi-shift fleet.
What's Included
- LX stacker chassis and mast in the model ordered
- Operator manual
- BATTERY AND CHARGER ARE NOT INCLUDED — order separately (HZ000S0000N / HZ000S0000R and EY000A0000S / EY000A0000T)
- Operator platform and cold storage kit are factory-fit options, not retrofittable
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is no battery included?
Because the right battery depends on your duty cycle. A single-shift operation needs less capacity than a three-shift one. Ordering separately means the power pack matches the work rather than being a compromise.
Q: 225Ah or 300Ah?
225Ah suits single-shift use. 300Ah suits longer shifts or heavier duty, and pairs with the 35A charger. Getting this wrong is the most common reason an intensive-use stacker underperforms.
Q: Can I add the operator platform later?
No. Both platform options are marked no-retrofit. They must be specified at the time of order.
Q: What is the tallest model?
The LX 14/50 Triplex reaches 5025mm, carrying 800kg residual at that height against a 1400kg nominal rating.
