The Eichinger Chain Rack (Model CR1) with optional Lockable Sling Store (Model CR2) provides a sturdy, organised and secure method of storing lifting tackle on construction sites. The chain rack features fork pockets and a crane lift point, allowing it to be relocated easily anywhere on site by forklift or crane. Multiple hooks are fitted for hanging single and multi-leg chain slings, with side bars for locating shackles. The optional CR2 lockable sling store adds a secure compartment for slings, harnesses and tag lines, preventing unauthorised access or theft. A waterproof document storage container is also included for quick access to all relevant lifting certificates and LOLER documentation. Built in the UK by Eichinger Equipment Ltd, the CR1 and CR2 bring order to site lifting stores and help teams comply with best practice for lifting equipment management.
The CR1 Chain Rack is designed for construction sites, hire depots, factories and any environment where lifting tackle needs to be stored in an organised, accessible and compliant manner. It is particularly useful on large construction projects where multiple sets of lifting chains, slings and shackles are in daily use. The fork pockets and crane lift point mean the rack can follow the work around site as the project progresses. The CR2 lockable sling store adds a layer of security for high-value lifting accessories and protects equipment from weather damage. The waterproof document holder ensures that certificates and inspection records are always available on site for audit or inspection purposes.
This product is CE marked and supplied with a full EC Declaration of Conformity in accordance with the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. A UKCA certificate is also provided where required for the Great Britain market. The chain rack is manufactured by Eichinger Equipment Ltd. All lifting equipment used on UK construction sites must comply with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). Proper storage and organisation of lifting tackle is a key part of LOLER compliance.
The chain rack should be inspected periodically for structural integrity, paying attention to the hooks, crane lift point, fork pockets and any welds. Clean the rack regularly to prevent corrosion. Check that the lockable sling store mechanism functions correctly and that the waterproof document container seal is intact. All lifting tackle stored on the rack must be subject to its own inspection regime in accordance with LOLER 1998.
The CR1 is a heavy-duty storage rack for organising lifting tackle on construction sites. It provides hooks for chain slings, side bars for shackles, and a waterproof document holder for certificates and inspection records. It can be moved around site by forklift or crane.
The CR2 is a lockable sling store that attaches to the CR1 chain rack, providing a secure compartment for slings, harnesses and tag lines. It prevents unauthorised access and protects equipment from weather damage.
Yes, the CR1 features both fork pockets for forklift use and a crane lift point for crane relocation. This means the rack can be positioned wherever the lifting team is working and moved as the project progresses.
The CR1 and CR2 are manufactured by Eichinger Equipment Ltd. Eichinger has been producing construction and lifting equipment since 1904 and is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of crane and forklift attachments. All products are manufactured in-house.
