More About This Product
The Armorgard PowerStation PWS12K is a secure battery charging locker designed for safe, segregated charging of power tool batteries, mobile phones, and other electrical devices on busy construction sites. Featuring twelve individual compartments with key cam locks, each containing twin 240V sockets, the PWS12K allows up to 24 devices to charge simultaneously. The unit is RCD protected at source, built from robust 1mm steel with perforated doors for ventilation and visibility, and finished with an antibacterial epoxy powder coat.
Suitable Applications
The PWS12K is designed for larger construction sites, workshops, and industrial facilities where multiple workers need secure charging for power tool batteries, mobile phones, and other devices. With twelve individual locking compartments, it is ideal for site offices, welfare units, and locations where a full team requires organised, segregated charging. The double capacity compared to the PWS6K makes it suitable for busy sites with high equipment turnover.
Site power is sized on load profile rather than headline capacity — how much is needed, and how much of the time. Where demand varies with long quiet periods, hybrid generators and battery storage cut fuel, noise and emissions.
How to Use the PowerStation PWS12K
- Position the PowerStation on a flat, stable surface in a dry, indoor location.
- Connect the unit to a grounded (earthed) mains power supply using the RCD-protected plug.
- Unlock the required compartment using the key cam lock.
- Place the battery charger or device inside and connect to one of the twin 240V sockets.
- Close and lock the compartment door before leaving the unit unattended.
- Remove equipment once charging is complete and lock the compartment.
Important:
Do not exceed the socket capacity by using extension leads or multi-plug adaptors. This could overload the circuit and create a fire risk.
Safety Information
- Carry out a risk assessment before installing and using the PowerStation.
- The PowerStation must not be used outdoors or in corrosive environments.
- The power supply lead must be connected to a grounded (earthed) power supply.
- Regular inspection and PAT testing should be carried out in accordance with site risk assessment requirements.
- Do not clean with water - wipe with a dry duster only.
- Do not move the unit when loaded with equipment.
- Check all exposed fixings periodically and re-tighten where necessary.
- Apply light lubrication to door hinges periodically.
