More About This Product

The Pesticide & Agrochemical Security Cupboard (1800 x 1200 x 460mm) provides high-security, segregated storage for pesticides and agrochemicals, helping employers comply with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) and good practice for pesticide storage. Built from 1.2mm seam-welded mild steel with full-length piano hinges and concealed fixings to resist forced entry, it is secured by a seven-lever anti-pick safe lock. Powder-coated red with Germ Guard antibacterial technology and classified for Reaction to Fire under EN 13501-1. Manufactured to order in the UK.

Suitable Applications

This high-security pesticide and agrochemical cupboard suits farms, estates, greenkeeping, horticulture and groundscare sites where plant protection products and agrochemicals must be stored securely and segregated, and where a higher level of protection against unauthorised access or tampering is required, as expected under a COSHH risk assessment.
Other substance groups are covered by the COSHH storage range.

How to Use the Pesticide and Agrochemical Security Cupboard

  1. Site the cupboard on a firm, level floor in a well-ventilated area, away from heat, ignition sources, foodstuffs and incompatible materials.
  2. Adjust the galvanised shelves to suit your containers, ensuring each shelf is fully seated on its supports.
  3. Store products in their original, correctly labelled containers and never exceed the 140kg uniformly distributed load per shelf.
  4. Keep incompatible substances segregated and store only the quantities permitted by your risk assessment.
  5. Affix the supplied warning and regulation labels so the contents are clearly identifiable.
  6. Lock the cupboard after every use and restrict key access to authorised, trained personnel only.

Warning:
Pesticides and agrochemicals are hazardous substances. Always consult the safety data sheet (SDS) and product label, keep them away from foodstuffs and ignition sources, never store incompatible products together, and observe the quantities permitted by your risk assessment.

Safety Information

  • Carry out a COSHH risk assessment before storing pesticides or agrochemicals and follow the control measures it identifies.
  • Store products in their original, correctly labelled containers with the lids secure.
  • Keep the cupboard in a suitable area away from foodstuffs, water courses, heat and ignition sources.
  • Keep incompatible substances segregated.
  • Provide and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and have suitable spill absorbents to hand.
  • Keep the cupboard locked when not in use and limit key access to trained, authorised personnel.

Inspection and Maintenance

Clean the paintwork periodically with warm soapy water or a foaming cleaner. Oil the hinges and lock sparingly as required with a light oil (3-in-1 or similar). Inspect the integral sump regularly and clean out any spillage promptly using a suitable absorbent. Check that warning labels remain legible and replace them if damaged. Replacement locks and spare keys are available on request.
