How to Use the Pfaff-Silberblau SW-K LB

1. Verify the mounting: Confirm the wall-fixing bolts remain fully torqued and the wall substrate is undamaged. The mounting must support the rated capacity plus an appropriate safety factor.
2. Verify material match: Confirm the model variant (galvanised or stainless) suits the installation environment. Wash-down food production lines, pool plant rooms, and marine settings need the stainless variants.
3. Inspect the rope: Visually check the full working length for kinks, broken strands, or surface damage. Remove from service if any defect is found.
4. Attach the load: Connect the rope end to the load via a suitable rated hook, sling, or shackle. Ensure all connections are secure and safety latches engaged.
5. Verify the rope alignment: The rope should run cleanly from the drum through any guide or sheave to the load without rubbing against the housing or wall.
6. Lift the load: Crank the handle smoothly in the lift direction. Note the gear ratio differs by capacity: the 150 – 350 kg models lift 125 mm per revolution; the heavier 900 / 1,200 kg models lift 45 mm per revolution.

Warning:
Wire rope winches are lifting devices and must not be used to lift, lower, or transport personnel. Never exceed the rated capacity stamped on the winch body. Never use a winch with damaged rope or distorted housing. The stainless steel variants are not stronger than the galvanised — they are equivalently rated but with better corrosion resistance.
