How to Use the Yale C/D 85 ATEX

1. Inspect the hoist before each use — check the chain, hooks, safety latches and the ratchet lever.
2. Confirm the rated capacity on the hoist body exceeds the load weight.
3. Attach the top hook to a verified anchor point above the load.
4. Engage the free-chaining device and pull the chain through to position the bottom hook.
5. Disengage the free-chaining device and attach the bottom hook to the load.
6. Operate the hand lever in short, smooth strokes to lift, lower or tension the load.

Warning:
The 10000 kg variant does not carry overload protection — confirm the load weight is within the rated capacity before lifting. Mining-classified equipment must be de-energised if explosive atmospheres are detected; site gas-detection and equipment isolation procedures must be in place before use.
