The Yale GGY range comprises hydraulic pressure gauges with stainless steel housings and acrylic plastic face cover plates. All gauges are glycerine-filled to absorb pressure shocks. The range includes 63 mm and 100 mm dial sizes across pressure ranges from 0-160 bar to 0-2500 bar.

Glycerine-damped for hydraulic systems

Yale documentation describes the GGY range as recommended when the operating pressure (force of the connected cylinder) should be monitored. Yale supplies corresponding pressure-vs-force converting charts for all Yale hydraulic cylinders free of charge - useful for calculating applied cylinder forces from gauge readings. The 63 mm gauges have accuracy class 1.6%; the 100 mm gauges have accuracy class 1.0% (except GGY-2500 which is class 1.6%).

Suitable Applications

Per Yale: monitoring operating pressure during hydraulic operations. Standard fit on Yale solenoid valves (VEP includes GGY-631 as standard). Used across the Yale hydraulic range from hand pumps to power packs.

Every part of the circuit carries a pressure rating, and the system is limited by its lowest-rated component — check these against the pump and cylinder in use.

Key Features

  • Glycerine-Filled: absorbs pressure shocks; long service life; jitter-free pointer on motor pumps.
  • Stainless Steel Housing: Yale-specified material.
  • Acrylic Plastic Face Cover Plate: Yale's standard face material.
  • Bourdon Tube Mechanism: standard industrial pressure measurement.
  • Multiple Pressure Ranges: 0-160 / 250 / 400 / 600 / 700 / 1000 / 2500 bar.
  • Two Dial Sizes: 63 mm and 100 mm.
  • GGY-1001 SZ with Maximum Pointer: records peak pressure during operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why glycerine-filled?

Yale specifies the glycerine fill to absorb pressure shocks. This contributes to long service life and ensures the pointer stays jitter-free when fitted to motor pumps.

Q: What's the GGY-1001 SZ?

Yale's GGY-1001 SZ (0-1000 bar, 100 mm) is equipped with a maximum pointer - records peak pressure reached during operation, useful for post-test verification.

Q: Are calibration charts supplied?

Yes - Yale supplies pressure-vs-force converting charts for all Yale hydraulic cylinders free of charge.

Q: Which gauge for TWAZ?

Yale specifies the GGY-2500 (0-2500 bar, 100 mm) for TWAZ pump applications, combined with the GA-2000 gauge adaptor.

Q: GGY-631 vs GGY-632?

Yale specifies the GGY-631 with G 1/4 oil port (DIN 16288) and the GGY-632 with 1/4 NPT oil port. Both are 0-1000 bar, 63 mm, glycerine-damped.
