How to Specify and Install

1. Identify your Mtrac model: Read the model designation from the winch data plate (YMT 1-15, YMT 3-5, YMT 5-5, etc.).
2. Determine the required rope length: Measure the working lift height plus the length of rope retained on the load-side of the unit plus the trailing length on the opposite side. Round up to the next standard length in the range.
3. Order the matching SKU: Specify the length (10 m – 150 m) and order the OEM article number. All Mtrac ropes are 6.5 mm regardless of model.
4. Decommission the existing rope: Power off the winch at the mains supply. Run the existing rope through to its end and detach. Inspect the grip-wheel mechanism for wear or damage before fitting the new rope.
5. Feed the new rope through the unit: Insert the taper end into the Mtrac's rope inlet per the OEM manual. The grip-wheel will engage the rope as it passes through.
6. Verify rope path and clearance: Ensure the trailing end of the rope (exiting the opposite side of the unit during lifting) has a clear path to fall or coil safely.
