Compact mini retractor with 45 mm webbing, suitable for personal carry on the harness or wherever a low-profile fall arrester is preferred.
This product is manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Yale lifting brand to EN ISO 9001 quality management standards. Compliant with BS EN 360 for retractable type fall arresters. Supplied with a manufacturer's test certificate and CE Declaration of Conformity. PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 Category III. Work at Height Regulations 2005 require thorough examinations every 6 months by a competent person, with records kept.
The Yale CMHAH210 Mini Retractor is a compact, lightweight self-retracting fall arrester ideal for situations where the larger cable blocks are impractical โ for example as a personal fall arrester carried on the harness or for use in environments where a low-profile fall arrester is preferred. The 45 mm wide webbing offers good abrasion resistance for the working environment while the compact housing minimises bulk and weight. Manufactured by Columbus McKinnon under the Yale lifting brand, supplied with a manufacturer's test certificate and operating manual.
Suited to general construction site fall arrest where a compact, personal fall arrester is preferred over a larger cable block. Particularly useful for ladder access, scaffold inspection, building maintenance, and any application where the user moves between positions and a personal retractor reduces fall distance compared to a fixed-length lanyard. Two mini retractors can be carried on the harness to provide continuous connection during climbing (twin retractor configuration).
Warning:
After any fall arrest the retractor must be withdrawn from service immediately and returned for competent person inspection. The retractor must be anchored overhead โ not below the user. The 120 kg user weight rating must not be exceeded.
Inspect the block before each use, paying particular attention to the housing for cracks or impact damage, the lanyard for cuts, fraying, or chemical damage, the load indicator (where fitted) for any sign of deployment, and both connectors for distortion or damage. Function-test by extending the lanyard fully and allowing it to retract under tension โ the retraction should be smooth and complete. Test the brake by sharply tugging the line โ the brake must lock immediately. Store hanging by the anchor hook in a clean, dry location away from direct sunlight, sharp objects, and chemicals. Do not store the block with the lanyard extended. Under the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and PPE Regulations, a thorough examination must be carried out by a competent person at least every 6 months. Manufacturer-recommended internal service interval is typically every 2 years โ refer to the operating manual for the specific service requirements of your model.
The mini retractor is compact, lightweight, and uses webbing rather than steel cable. It's preferred where bulk and weight matter โ for example carried on the harness as a personal fall arrester. Cable blocks offer longer cable lengths and better suit fixed-anchor installations.
Yes โ a twin retractor configuration uses two mini retractors with their housings mounted on the harness shoulder straps and their webbing ends connected to the anchor structure. This provides continuous connection during climbing, similar to a twin tail lanyard but with retracting webbing.
120 kg including PPE, tools, and any other equipment carried. Verify total user weight does not exceed this limit.
Typically 2 m to 3 m below the working position. Always refer to the operating manual for the specific fall clearance.
Yes. The webbing is UV-stable for outdoor use. Air-dry after any wet use; do not store wet in a sealed bag.
Pre-use inspection, thorough examination by a competent person every 6 months, manufacturer-recommended internal service typically every 2 years.
Webbing replacement is a service operation requiring an authorised service centre. Do not attempt field replacement.
