This product is manufactured to order in the UK from 1.2mm seam-welded mild steel. Petroleum and flammable liquid cupboards of this type help employers store flammable and petroleum-based liquids safely and securely, supporting compliance with the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 (DSEAR) and petroleum storage good practice. The powder-coated steel is classified for Reaction to Fire in accordance with EN 13501-1 and produced under a quality system certified to ISO 9001:2015. Warning labels are supplied as standard. As a manufactured-to-order item this product is subject to an extended lead time.

Suitable Applications

Petroleum and Flammable Liquid Cupboards suit garages, workshops, depots, laboratories and industrial sites wherever petrol, solvents, fuels and other flammable liquids must be stored securely and away from ignition sources. The welded construction, high-security safe lock, integral drainable sump and clearly marked red finish support the control measures expected under DSEAR and your fire risk assessment.
Warning:
Flammable and petroleum liquids are dangerous substances. Keep away from all ignition sources, store only sealed, correctly labelled containers and observe the quantities permitted by your DSEAR and fire risk assessments. Always consult the safety data sheet (SDS) for each substance.
At this size for petroleum and highly flammable liquids see the matching cabinet.

Inspection and Maintenance

Clean the paintwork periodically with warm soapy water or a foaming cleaner. Oil the hinges and lock sparingly as required with a light oil (3-in-1 or similar). Inspect the integral sump regularly and drain it via the plug, cleaning out any spillage promptly with a suitable absorbent. Check that warning labels remain legible. Replacement locks and spare keys are available on request.
