The Conquip Forklift Access Cage is a forklift-mounted personnel cage that lifts up to two operatives safely for routine maintenance, equipment inspection and warehouse stocktaking. The cage features full-height mesh sides, internal harness attachment points, and standard fork pockets with heel pin retention — a safe, low-cost alternative to bringing scissor lifts or MEWPs to site for short-duration access tasks at moderate heights.
Key Features

UK Manufactured | Manufactured for Forklift Use
Manufactured in the UK from high-quality steel for repeated commercial site use. Internal harness points enable operatives to clip on for fall protection. The cage is intended for forklift and telehandler mounting only — refer to the user guide for specific carrier compatibility.
Suitable Applications
The Forklift Access Cage is best suited to short-duration maintenance and inspection tasks where personnel need to reach moderate heights and a scissor lift, MEWP, or scaffold tower would be over-spec. Common uses include warehouse stocktaking at upper rack levels, building maintenance, equipment inspection, lighting and signage work, and any short-access task where a forklift or telehandler is already on site.
How to Use the Forklift Access Cage
- Position the carrier's forks at the correct width to enter the cage's fork pockets.
- Drive the forks fully home into the pockets.
- Insert the heel pins on both sides to secure the cage to the forks.
- Confirm both heel pins are seated before personnel enter the cage.
- Personnel enter the cage and clip on to the internal harness attachment points.
- Lift smoothly to the working height. Travel only at low height with the cage stable.
- On completion, lower fully to ground level before personnel exit the cage.
Warning:
Do not exceed 250kg total weight (2 personnel plus equipment). Personnel must use the internal harness attachment points. Travel between locations should be at the lowest practical height.
