The IAH-E does the same job as the standard IAH in a smaller, lighter package, rated to 2000kg. It exists for sites where storage and transport space are at a premium — at 15kg it stows easily and fits neatly onto the fork blade. If you need more than 2000kg or a wider range of capacities, the standard IAH is the one to specify.
Key Features
- Fully adjustable positioning — slides along the fork blade (except taper) to achieve multiple lifting positions

More About This Product
The Invicta Adjustable Fork Mounted Hook Economy (Model IAH-E) provides a quick and economical method of lifting and positioning unpalletised loads. Multiple lifting positions can be achieved by positioning the attachment along the fork blade. This compact unit has been specifically designed for environments where storage space and transportation are at a premium — it fits neatly onto the fork without requiring removal or modification. Available in 1000kg and 2000kg capacities with a maximum fork section of 100 x 45mm at 220mm centres, the IAH-E is ideal for lighter-duty applications. Manufactured in Leeds by Invicta Forks & Attachments, the UK's largest mechanical forklift attachment manufacturer.
Suitable Applications
The IAH-E is ideal for warehouses, workshops, manufacturing facilities and construction sites where occasional lifting of unpalletised loads is required. Common uses include positioning motors, pumps, steel fabrications, machinery components and other awkward items that cannot be handled on a pallet. The compact design makes it particularly useful in confined spaces.
How to Use the Adjustable Fork Mounted Hook (Economy)
- Drive forks into fork pockets ensuring thumb screws are suitably retracted.
- Locate the attachment to the required position along the blade of the fork.
- Tighten thumb screws at the desired position ensuring they are adequately tightened.
- Attach your load to the swivel hook and shackle.
- The attachment is now ready for use.
Warning:
Always ensure only vertical lifts are made — do not make diagonal lifts with this attachment. The mast must remain in the vertical position at all times. Do not exceed the safe working load.
Safety Information
- Ensure the operator is fully conversant with the attachment before use.
- Ensure both the truck and attachment are capable of handling the intended load.
- Ensure the shackle pin is adequately tightened before each use.
- Do not tighten the thumb screws onto the taper of the fork blade.
- Do not drive into the fork pockets without first retracting the thumb screws.
- Do not shock load the attachment under any circumstances.
Inspection and Maintenance
Inspect weekly with particular attention to all weld points, wear and distortion of fork pockets and thumb screws, and the condition of the swivel hook, safety latch and shackle. Treat surface rusting with proprietary inhibitors and repaint as required. Certified for six months from manufacture — re-test or competent person inspection required thereafter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between the IAH-E and the standard IAH?
The IAH-E is a compact economy version rated to 2000kg in two models. The standard IAH offers seven capacities up to 5000kg. The economy unit is chosen where space and budget matter more than range.
Q: Can I leave the hook on the fork permanently?
It can stay fitted between lifts, but remove it for normal pallet handling and inspect it before each lifting use, checking pin engagement and the hook safety latch.
Q: How much does the IAH-E lift?
Two models are available: the IAH-1.0E rated 1000kg and the IAH-2.0E rated 2000kg. Both weigh 15kg with a 125mm centre of gravity.
Q: How is the lifting position set?
The attachment slides along the fork blade to the position that suits the load and is secured before lifting, giving multiple lifting positions without changing attachment.
Q: Does it affect what the forklift can lift?
Yes. The attachment moves the load away from the carriage, so the truck's rated capacity at that load centre governs the lift rather than the attachment's rating.
Q: Is it certified for lifting?
Yes. It is manufactured in the UK by Invicta Forks & Attachments and supplied with a test certificate and EC Declaration of Conformity where applicable, and falls under LOLER 1998 six-monthly thorough examination.
Q: What should I check before each use?
Confirm the heel pin is fitted behind the fork heel with the lynch pin engaged, the swivel hook turns freely and its safety latch closes, and there is no distortion, wear or weld damage.
