Suitable Applications
The LOADLIFTER is designed for distribution centres, supermarket distribution depots, beverage companies, dairy operations and any facility that loads or unloads roll cages to and from articulated vehicles.
A platform lifts people, which carries requirements no other attachment does — a MEWP or tower is the preferred option wherever practicable. For crane-suspended work see access cages and man baskets.
How to Use the Fork Mounted Loadlifter
- Position forks and drive fully into fork pockets.
- Unlatch safety chains and re-couple to keep bracket.
- Load 2–3 cages onto the platform.
- Re-attach safety chains.
- Lift so the retaining brackets engage with the carriage.
- Apply back tilt and approach the open lorry square on.
- Lift above the lorry bed and proceed forward.
- Lower onto the lorry bed and release the cages.
- Lift clear and reverse for the next operation.
Warning:
Always approach the lorry square on, not at an angle. Always drive with the loadlifter in its lowest possible position. Apply the fork truck handbrake when stationary.
