More About This Product

The Invicta Mechanical Scissor Grab (Model ISG-6) is designed to lift, move and release numerous types of block and brick packs safely on a building site or yard. An alternative to the ISG-5, this smaller unit was introduced to secure smaller packs of bricks and blocks — suiting all requirements on site. Fully mechanically operated via the forklift without the driver leaving the safety of his seat, or via an overhead crane or HIAB. The ISG-6 features a fixed internal pack height and a 500–970mm span. Manufactured in Leeds by Invicta Forks & Attachments.

Suitable Applications

The ISG-6 is ideal for handling smaller packs of bricks and blocks on construction sites and in builders merchants' yards where the larger ISG-5 is not required.
Attachments are chosen by load shape: drums, bulk bags and banded packs each need a different one, and every attachment moves the load centre forward and derates the truck.

How to Use the Mechanical Scissor Grab (Small Pack)

  1. Fit rubber pad arms and attach with lynch pins.
  2. Insert lifting pin through the lifting eye.
  3. Lower the grab onto the pack until closed.
  4. Lift the pack clear. Use a restraint net if lifting overhead.
  5. Lower at the destination and continue lowering until the grab locks open.

Warning:
Never lift an unstable pack. Never stand under the grab. Always use a restraint net when lifting overhead.

Safety Information

  • Never lift an unstable or unbanded pack.
  • Never stand under the grab.
  • Always use a restraint net when lifting overhead.
  • Keep hands clear of all moving parts.

Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect weekly. Keep hinges and latches greased. Certified for six months.
