Suitable Applications

How to Use the Single-Leg Chain Sling
- Inspect the sling before each use. Check the chain, hook and master link for wear, deformation, cracks or corrosion. Do not use if defects are found.
- Confirm the weight of the load does not exceed the WLL of the sling at the angle of use.
- Attach the master link end to the crane hook or shackle, ensuring the crane hook gate is fully closed and secured.
- Attach the self-locking hook to the designated lift point on the load. Confirm the hook is fully engaged and the self-locking mechanism is activated.
- If using the shortener variant, adjust the working length as required before lifting.
- Lift slowly, confirming load stability before proceeding to full lift height.

All lifting operations must be planned and supervised by a competent person in accordance with LOLER 1998. Chain slings must be thoroughly examined at regular intervals and records kept.
